Tell your players how to play the game - either directly or with visual feeback - BEFORE playing the game. By the time I realised I had to shoot the shields, I was too far behind and I soon died.
Also, the game window is WAY too small.
I can't make informed decisions without information. Rather than telling me what armour I have, tell me what level it is and how much damage it prevents...
I'm afraid the bad outweighs the good. A pity because I like the artwork and navigation. I had to use the walkthrough for various reasons: multi-state items, dialogue and puzzles not matching up...
There are so many bad design choices that the basic gameplay loops is unbearable. Unclear/unmarked exits, awkward movement, opaque obstacles, Abilites and Attacks on separate pages, no hotkeys for heals, long slogs to home base with exhobertant Inn pricing...
Sorry if it wasn't fun at the end there, there are clues for the oil in the notes but I guess not everyone reads them! I didn't do any saving/continue due to the shortness of the game sorry.
Level 19 has (at least) 3 versions. I looked up a walkthrough but it was an iteration unlike I had seen and recently, the level changed to something extremely easy...
There is SO much wrong with this game. Here's just one problem:
There are 4 levels in this game that require you to "break" the game. 1 is obvious enough, the other 3 require you to use menu elements that have suddenly have a different function for that level only.
Some do have multiple puzzles ex: the pig! :) Thanks for the feedback hope you had a good time. :)
