I want to like this game. I like the concept, it flows well. The mouse controls are much improved. But I still feel that the difficulty curve is brutal due to the unforgiving 'bump the edge and start back at the beginning' ruleset. I keep missing a jump on level 3 and banging some edge of my body, after the 15th attempt on a training level it is no longer fun. I assume the game only gets harder after this.
The controls for mining are awful. Trying to get the target cursor to turn orange is like parallel parking a hummer into a compact spot. I couldn't justify wasting the time to get past this. 1/5.
As fun as banging your head repeatedly into a precariously balanced vat of acid. Boring and painful -- but maybe next time it will spill over and scald you horribly! 1/5
Fun idea, but the limitations on jumping, the arc of the thrown balls, and your own jumps leave few options. I don't like the way the controls feel -- not very intuitive.
When you need a yellow on the right hand side of the tile, and run through every deal + half a dozen bonuses and still don't run across one, and there is no way to save your progress ... well, then you have Ring Pass Not.
Another helpful feature would be a running count of the # of colors and tile shapes in play. Manually counting them is not terribly fun.
