While the normal difficulty, and perhaps even hard difficulty seem fair, am I the only one that noticed Heavenly difficulty, unlike Hard, *doesn't* add another layer of patterned bullets, but instead just adds completely random bullet-spray? I don't think I'll ever waste time playing on Heavenly thanks to that, since survival is based entirely off of RNG and good luck instead of skill thanks to the random sprays, especially on bosses.
I like this game quite a lot, don't get me wrong, but there's something that bothers me a lot about the difficulties. That being; Hard is the "complete" difficulty, while Heavenly is just Hard with random unfair garbage added in such as extremely long-lasting homing bullets, lots of bullets that are random instead of patterned, etcetera, which adds artificial difficulty and RNG/luck-based gameplay rather than natural difficulty and skill-based gameplay.
Really fun, but I'd like to be able to upgrade monsters the same way I can upgrade "Super Willy" The Man. Still 5/5 though, being a major fan of both Minecraft and Cubeworld, as well as other voxel and block games, this was naturally my kind of game.
I have a quad-core gaming laptop with 16 megabytes of ram, over a gigabyte of hardrive, etc. and I can run Skyrim with ease. Yet SOMEHOW, this game still lags horribly. Someone explain this treachery.
A tip for beating the game and getting the impossible badge (Outlasting & Outblasting) never try to finish quickly, go for the safe areas and avoid dealing damage entirely if need be. This applies especially for the twin-turret tank, lava fortress (or ship? The one before the slime) and slime monster. You can and will die easily if you make the slightest mistake, so don't take any risks. Your health is very valuable and you may not get it back in time if you take hits too often.
Is it just me, or is the badge "Ten Desires Badge" a reference to the Touhou bullet hell series, specifically the Touhou game "Ten Desires?"... Speaking of which, I beat all of these bosses being hit only once each or not at all, am I ready for a Touhou game?
Uhh... Evolving? As if this game wasn't Pokemon-esque enough. How about the apearances of creatures change, such as the Raptor getting scars, the Lion getting a larger mane, or the Cerberus or Beholder getting a dark red aura. Something like that.
I lol'd when a zombie started rising out of the tablecloth and they did nothing, but the moment the lamp flickered, they jumped out the 2nd story windows and died.
For all the peole who didn't know, VOID II is (kinda) out in beta. I did some digging through links and he had this stashed on his blog: http://batur.pbworks.com/w/page/49106877/Void%20II
