Rubies tip is misleading. They don't actually raise DPS by themselves (not sure if that is intended behavior). Instead it seems the way the rubies "increase your DPS" is by using them to buy DPS upgrades.
You should remove the 'right-click to close tutorial'...not possible to do on a mac that's not setup to right-click using the touch pad without having to change mouse settings.

Replayed for no-death ending. Got past the 3rd checkpoint and sword/pick. Killed a few monk/priest due and came across a gold key door and didn't have any keys left and no way to get more because the only remaining ones on the map were behind locked doors...can't proceed any further
Usually play games with the sound off, but one thing I might suggest is quieting or muting the b/g music when they're talking. Very hard to listen to them when the music is going off at the same volume.
