Correction of my last comment: it would be nice if the game synchronizes the music settings for the different markets. When I decide to mute one of them and then switch to another one, I usually intend to mute that one as well (and vice-versa) :P
I'll just add my comment to the list in case sheer quantity will help you realize this: no matter how great this game is, people aren't going to rate it favourably as long as its lifespan (with dead being unplayable due to lagg) boils down to 15 minutes.
In all honesty, I don't understand why people even bother to develop these kind of games. There's just so much unnecessary and rather annoying blinking, fanservice and "Buy cool stuff now!" everywhere that it's becoming an eyesore.
To be fair, the game doesn't seem very outstanding. It sure isn't bad, and I like the defender types plus the combo's you can make with them. The skills seem rather dull though, as well as the upgrades. Keeping the same exact kind of defenders all throughout the game (as far as I can tell after two levels and a thorough read of the skills screen) just doesn't appeal to me :/
I love the tracks and the idea of having to unlock everything in a city sim, but - and this is a big but - I highly dislike having to wait 48 hours for a tier 3 update to finish. Frankly, if I reach the level and the amount of money needed to buy the update, I don't want to wait two whole days before I can use it - nor spend a ridiculous amount of bloonstones to unlock it directly.
All I seem to get is a black screen with two scroll bars. Considering my current state, it could very well be that I'm simply not awake enough to get past this state of the game if it is intentional, but it would be nice to know if it is :P This is both on Windows 7 and Linux Mint 17.
M seems to be the hotkey to open the map, Esc the one to close it. It would be nice to have a list of these available somewhere (Instructions, in-game, anywhere you like). Also I keep wondering why my archers (or the enemy ones) randomly seem to refuse to fire and then proceed to attack with melee after walking a painful and deadly way to the enemy archers - even though they have a clear shot at the enemy. It's saved me once so far, but it didn't really feel like a victory as the enemy mages didn't do anything but attempt to brave both arbalests and goblins.
Okay, so aside from the comments about farming and boats, I have a few small things that I think would benefit the game. First, don't restock camps I haven't unlocked yet. I don't have the slightest idea what a Troll is, much less where to recruit it, so it's kind of useless. Second, add some more camps in - for instance - the forsaken forest. Beating one battle, then having to sail back to restock in five different camps around the map and then sailing back to enter the cellar is somewhat inconvenient and doesn't really offer anything. Or make it so you can buy excess troops that replace your fallen troops after a battle or something. Just anything to avoid having to travel half a map after every two-three battles.
Would it be possible for treasure chests and item chests to float to the center of the level? (vertically) More often than not, they end up spawning at the top or bottom at the level, where I have to almost go past the edge of the screen to reach them.
I'm afraid I have no feedback whatsoever but to continue being awesome! Rogue Soul was one of my favourite games, and I'm glad to see the sequel is even better! ^_^
After what seems weeks of clicking, resetting and sacrificing winged beings in satanic rituals, I finally managed to buy that last upgrade! I'm looking forward to the next update! ^_^
It could be that it was the update... I had this problem myself one time after updating but it was gone after refreshing.
