How to win: Save for pistol, then upgrade Speed and Power together (Power over Speed, if you can buy only one). After having them both at 5 or so buy the next gun and keep upgrading. as soon as both hit 10 buy guns till Rocket launcher, dont bother with laser gun, it sucks. Then get new bases and the other stats, whatever you like best. Use Rock lvl 1 to delay enemys while reloading (2 throws)

I have no problem with the fame system. It's what brings the challenge to the game, and it does so well.
As already stated, the apprentice is too strong and appears too early, here some mechanism to to avoid this would be nice.
