Well, I would try for the badge of the day, but the game has a few problems: Major sticky keys problems, massive lag with the mouse anywhere near the game, and keys seem to do things they should not (left made me go through a door a few times.) Not worth my time to try for a badge with such a poor control of the character. As noted above in the best comments, the controls and reactions are very poor... this makes for a horrible choice for BotD.
The one thing that is disappointing, is that if you do everything but the last step of letting go while sitting on the can, you get the same ending as if you just removed your pants. Oh well, had to try!
The fact that the walls of the books and such on challenge bug the game and cause it to crash is somewhat of a downer... it's not a bad game otherwise. That completely makes the hard badge not worth trying for, at least for me. I want to use the maximum fire angles and all, as a habit, but it crashes the game. Oh well, still a decent game, although I'm not sure this should be quite as close to a 4/5 as it is... it's solid but not superb.
When constructing your space station, make sure to leave plenty of holes in the hallways. This way you can save on costs, at the same time as making sure your workers get enough exercise!
Wow, a bunch of complaints on the pacing? It's not that bad... I mean it's a matching game for crying out loud. Not everything has to be an actionfest.
The connections established are bad. The pieces work against each other instead of joining together and supporting each other far too often. I like the idea, but the implementation needs work.
Great, resizing this helps a lot. It still feels too easy with letters highlighting a valid choice, although some people might enjoy it for casual times.
There are 2 major problems with this game. First is the vertical size, you can either see the desired outcome, or you can see the letters to select at the bottom... it needs to be shorter and could be without problems. Second is the highlighting of valid letters to swap to. This feature turns a game that requires thought into a simple matter of checking letters that light up when you select a spot. It really is a huge factor, to the point of this becoming a brainless timewaster, which doesn't really spark much interest.
This is: Too short, has a poor level layout (no point to balls on the sides for the most part), too easy , and in general should probably be considered a learning experience for the game author more than anything else.
The hard badge is almost impossible. To beat the computer at 6 turns on Europe you have to skip getting the continent bonus, where the computer does not skip. This leads to a very small chance of managing to take over Indonesia on turn 4 (so small, that it might as well be called the save and load badge.) In fact, the displayed chance of taking the territory via the analyze graphs with 10 armies is 0%. With taking Europe, the fastest course gives a 7 day win. The requirements to win this are: 1. Take each territory on the path with only 1 loss until contact. 2. Computer does not take over Australia on turn 2, which it almost always does.
This make the hard badge more a pain of constantly loading a saved game than anything else... and the times should possible be reconsidered to allow them not to be such a luck based grind fest... imo. Granted, this is more of a badge complaint than anything else!
The game is far too random in terms of opponent speeds, one run they go slow and the next fast on the same level. The game is also very punishing toward anyone who has problems finding the perfect mix of control to do rear wheelies, as there are a ton of locks behind total rear wheelie time... but you still have to finish before the last computer racer. I agree the controls need a little work, jumping in particular does not always seem to work. Not my type of game... but it seems well done for those who like the genre.
5th mission full guide: Step 1,crystals. Step 2,build reactors on the top. Step 3, build 1 blaster and 1 launcher at each part below. Step 4, carve and get energy to at least 15. Step 5, build tech buildings, but avoid the iron nodes, and research *3 ranks of energy and 2 of both weapon range and rate is the big deal.* Step 6, build for iron. Step 7, build a second launcher and a second blaster at each small area. Step 8, move the blasters down the repulsor beam followed by the launchers, 1 spot at a time. Step 9, destroy the creeper spawners in the small rooms. Step 10, finish any excavation (don't worry, the creeper stays in the pattern... just open the room up!) Step 11, build a portal/rift near the big room. Step 12, build 2-4 more blasters and as many launchers as you can sustain. Step 13, build a maker or two and set them on x4 charge mode. Step 14, wait for lines to break. Step 15, release anti-creeper. Step 16, destroy final spawner.
It made me sad that there was no achievement/medal for leaving the screen in space. I made sure to do so the first time I launched with max flight upgrades and hit a few balloons on the way up. 73k altitude ftw!
4 mysterious X of death items, when using ranged weapons, allows you to hit (crit, might as well be one and the same) for over 8k damage. You basically never miss, and always crit. Just spam melee units in front of you, work on ranged skills, get good items (anything with bonus damage to work with your first mysterious x of death item), and keep your ranged weapon in your main hand. Always funny to overkill something for more than 10 times the hp of the best units in a game.
Needs: building behind minimap, a speed up for some longer matches where you are just slowly waiting/building, a retune on balance, a pause hotkey, and a restart map option to minimize the time spent reloading maps. Some of the ships are essentially worthless due to several factors. In all cases when you can build supercarriers they are the most powerful, but on most maps a fighter rush is the only viable strategy. Beyond that, the starting points are too close, and sometimes you can win early with turret spam. It is a good game, although the random higher level maps can be very difficult even compared to the final mission.
Absolutely hate the cube shifting position as you move the mouse. It throws off where I want to click. A simple rotational via the keyboard or buttons would have been nice, as it is I probably will not finish.
hi silly guy, you might find it easy, but only a handful of ladies are able to solve all the puzzles in Game Center.
