Having a password system in 2011 is simply unexcusable. It should be an alternative to saved games, not the only option. Plus, it doesn't save the logos you've collected. It's a nice puzzle game, but i couldn't enjoy it to the fullest because there's no save game function, 3/5.
This game has the potential of being one of the best action RPGs on kongregate, but I had to gave it 4/5 because there are a few bugs/issues still unsolved.
The companion handling is kinda meh (it would be cool if it leveled up and could be equipped like you), besides the fact you can't help them, the trunk should NOT have any weight limit (what's the point of having a trunk then?): if you need to limit the amount of items storable, place an item quantity limit.
I found handguns and rifles completely worthless, the only weapons that kept me alive were melee and automatics. Explosives look cool, but are slow to recharge, I died before i could fire a single bomb.
And... survivor mode is actually pretty easy. Besides sleep, which is annoying at times, I had plenty of food to eat. I cleared it with not many difficulties even without helper companions.
Despite those flaws, it's still a really fun game that kept me hooked for hours :)
In all honesty, it's a sort of a mixed bag. Don't get me wrong, it's a solid flash game (i rated 4/5), but there are two gameplay aspects I didn't like compared to the first rebuild: 1) Lack of survivor specialization. I admit I didn't play impossible this time, but having to specialize survivors was an interesting strategic challenge that is now gone. 2) Equipment is good, but for me, it's kinda painful to handle the way it is now. Most of the time i kept assigning random pieces of equipment to random people, whomever was available by the time I realized i had unequipped items. But anyway, besides these two aspects of gameplay, everything else was improved. Luck has much less impact, making the gameplay a lot more fair in higher difficulty settings. Still, I can't really tell if i prefer this or the original rebuild.
Doodle God 1 was fun, but this time there are too many possible combinations to be enjoyable. If trial and error was frustrating for you the first time, don't bother with this game 2/5
Tips for the impossible badge. 1) Use Sheriff (Shotgun/Combat Shotgun), and recruit Sniper (Sniper Rifle), Ranger (Gravity Gun), Duelist (Laser gun). 2) Key skills are Breeder, Negotiator, Engineer, Defender, Active, Leadership. I won without engineer but it REALLY helps. 3) Villa is where your money should go most of the time.. 4) As you start, immediately purchase Museum and 1 Repairman. It hepls for perfect rounds (I scored 29 perfects out of 100). 5) Tauting is too risky, I had an hard time killing regular monsters with villa boost 6) The crucial parts are the levels 30-40 and 70-80. After level 80 it's easy getting to 100. 7) Don't bother using ragnarok, keep the holy grail for suicide bombers waves 8) Get a leech mod on your gravity gun 9) Before upgrading your gun, think about upgrading villa. It can save you money and boost all of your troops' attack. 10) Buy about 80 chickens: after that you can abuse Quick Eyed skill, which also helps for wall HP a little.
If you are a veteran beatmaniaIIDX player, the impossible badge is a joke, I got it with very little effort :P Is it just me or the timing on Eight circles seems a little off? The game is really good, although I didn't particularilly enjoy the chiptune, rock, and metal tracks. A solid 4/5.
I finally managed to beat it in harder. 1) Be aggressive, 2) Recruit A LOT through the game, even if you don't have enough farms. If your housing capacity is full, you can assign people to high-risk missions (15-25%); i found myself sending civilians in "Kill zombies" missions at times. They most of the time succeed, and if someone dies, or starves to death, replace him with new recruits. Keep scouting if you need survivors. After the initial phase, be concerned with food and housing: one lab helps. Happiness is a problem, but you don't have the resources to deal with right now. By this time get an hospital, it prevents many deaths. Be careful because now the zombies' strength is going to dramatically increase, so get as many soldiers as possible, and police stations/marts. Assign unspecialized civilians to defend, after a few assaults they become soldiers. Once you feel safe, get 35% base happiness by annexing/making churchs and bars and everything should be easy now.
Okay this game deserves my comment. Just wanted to share my interpretation of its meaning. If you accept to be obedient your life is going to be a lot easier. You can see clearilly what path lies upon your destiny, and even if you lose your freedom, you are helped and loved. If you are not obedient, things are going to get rough. Your path is obfuscated, because there's no one telling you what to do, and you have to shape your own destiny. You are ultimately free, and only responsible of yourself. But freedom comes at a price: if you always make your own decisions, people will stop looking after you.
This piece of software is the demonstration that sitting in front of your computer sometimes makes you think. A well-deserved 5/5.
This game is soooo overrated. Although the concept is pretty cool, there's absolutely little to no strategy involved, it just requires luck to get madagascar infected, or start from there. This said, the only reason to play Pandemic 2 is if you really care about badges, 2/5.
Unfortunately, this game gets boring fast. There's not much strategy involved. Even if you couldn't abuse the bombs, the only tower you need is the super tower. Still the graphics are polished enough, albeit repetitive, and the overall design is good. 3/5.
I like the concept, but there's not much playing involved. You just set the stuff and let it go. I would have liked it more if you could upgrade your gun as well. An okay game after all, 3/5.
It really took me a lot of time, but i finally got the impossible badge. The hard part was actually getting legend of course. Used a 100% defensive Biological in zones 1-2, and a Shadow Blend/Withdrawal build in zones 3-5. Only 2 respecs used, one at level 1, to put all points into vitality, and one after zone 2.
@grimgroove They are glitches. @knight8183 It seems they pop up randomly after you kill certain enemies but i couldn't figure out which ones. Just redo stage 24 over and over.
I'll add another two combos to the list: laser/blue laser + double shot = double laser/blue laser. Double blue laser is probably the most effective weapon i've tried.
