Weird thing when the event started - I'd swear I had a lot more than 100ish of the quest items when Gardners ended, because I used a bunch of warps to try to get the cash/levels to make it worth it to do another Free Play on the map. Didn't make it, so I ended up with a large number of quest items that I figured would be handy in future events. Don't remember precisely how much I had so it's hard to really complain, but it might need to be looked at.
Thank you for the report. Event currency does not remain after an event. It disappears into the ether. Each event has unique currency. Sorry for any confusion.
I haven't played in more than a year. My savefile was eaten by a virus, my backup savefile's on a thumbdrive the cat lost for me. And then I get that dratted "Anniversary Stuffs!" message that drags me back in! I've even started a NEW game, without all the pre-Explosion loot and all the time I put in already! What is WRONG with me?!
((...and where'd the cat hide that thumbdrive...))
You rerolled my ancients with this update. I had Morgulis all ready to summon, now he's wandered off. Might want to do something about that when updating ancients in the future; I know I can build up more souls for the rerolls, but it's annoying.
I'm enjoying this as much as I've enjoyed the previous entries in the series. Unfortunately, for some reason, my cat does not like the "Yay!" at the end of each level and keeps responding with "Grrr..." So I must mute. Silly cat.
Just to counter all the negatives here, I do find this a fun game. As the first in the series, I don't have any complaints about cookie cutter games - it IS the cookie cutter. It was fun playing when I had the time to devote to attempting an endurance badge, and the only reason I stopped is because my computer ate my save.
The lag issue for this game is not just on Kong. People are mentioning it in reviews on the Jay Is Games site as well. Kong may be having issues, but don't blame all lag problems on them.
People, stop complaining that the dice are rigged. They aren't. Gaby even posted the source code and explained in a blog post how the CPU players work. You can find the links at the Kong wiki Zilch page. If you play long enough you'll see for yourselves that it's possible to get some of those wonderful rolls - it's just the luck of the draw.
I like that the developers are willing to respond to the critical posts even so long after the game came out. It's nice to know that they are listening to the players!
Thanks, we do try :) I'm currently going through everyone's comments seeing what the main issues with the game are. Getting stuck is a clear winner atm.
WHY am I respawning right in the middle of a swarm when I die in Swarm mode? There's not much I can do when I get dropped smack in the middle of ten aliens!
This new badge really caught us out, we weren't expecting it at all. Because the game is nearly a year old we can't really do much to support it ( We have to have a cut off point ), so a lot of things which annoy you guys, annoy us too. We just made mistakes first time around, quite a few we fixed in Swarm, and even more are being fixed in Outpost 2. It's getting good feedback on here which helps us so much, it helps all devs. so thanks for your comment ( And yes, it does suck respawning right in the middle of a crowd of aliens ).
