The idea has potential, but it isn't executed very well for the Flash game format. The controls are wonky - keyboard would make much more sense, at least as an option. I also don't like how you get penalized on the total score for taking a break from the levels with a par time. No par to reach shouldn't lower the par score. There's also a problem with the timed levels if the computer's running slow, since the timer in this starts before the character even arrives in the level and while the arrival was delayed, the timer start wasn't, meaning I was either out of time before I started or was dropped into the welcoming arms of the security forces. The way this is put together is just too limited. The trailer for the platform version looks nice, but the Flash version doesn't exactly inspire confidence. I'd be a lot more picky about this one if some of the other comments didn't say how different this is from the platform version that's already out.
I gotta say, I'm enjoying this one more than the first one. It just feels more fun now to go running around achievement hunting. I'll need to remember to budget the time to finish the game sometime, since I don't want to have to use a walkthrough. Good job!
I really enjoy this game. It feels enough like an old school RPG with the leveling, but doesn't feel like grinding. I understand why the medals carry from save to save, but it would be nice to have a way to tell if you've gotten all the treasures in an area after you get the medal on a previous playthrough. It's too easy to forget where the hidden chests are, and I like the feeling of accomplishment that comes from finding them on my own. Also, a question: Was the Nurse's Cap removed, or did I get a glitch by not getting it? I got it on my last playthrough and I know I got the chest the cap should be in.
Fun game! I like the new mechanics of the trampoline and vaporizing rocks, they help it feel new instead of more of the same. The boxes look so content when they're sleeping...but no slacking off at work!
Fun game once it gets going. I like the music and the way it slowly changes as you go deeper...but I got royally SICK of listening to the character talking. Doesn't help that I can only understand him half the time. But that's hardly a deal breaker, so 5/5 still.
Re: Green Coins - They come from the Button Machine, the Arena, the fully upgraded money printer, and from just sitting there staring at your screen. It can take a while for them to accumulate, but plenty of us managed without the Lolmarket. Before the change in upgrade cost, I was wondering what I was gonna do with all my coins now that I had both the max achievement and the Pet Feeding Bar. Be patient and you'll get to the same point. Oh, and that Pet Feeding Bar allows you to feed your pet from wherever, similar to what the Mini-Garden does for trees. And Tukkun only said no more MAJOR updates, he never ruled out minor tweaks and item additions.
People, stop complaining that Tukkun isn't going to be making major updates any more. He's allowed to have a life outside this game. He's putting time and effort in to making a fun game and getting nada from us in return other than compliments or complaints. Say thank you for the game and enjoy. Most games don't get even this much attention from their developers.
Man, and here I was enjoying having more money than I knew what to do with. And possible glitch - the upgrade buttons for Idle and Anti-Idle mode will still let you spend your money even with the stat maxed. I found that out the hard way...*heads off to the Lolmarket to get her coins back* Oh, and my "Still Worse?" achievement insists that I only have a 99.99% upgrade, even though it's maxed.
I don't know if this is a glitch or part of the new arena, but I just got the strangest defeat. I was using a health ring for above max HP, was comfortably above it, fighting a boss monster I'd faced in boss-monster form before that I didn't have much of a problem with...And just when I landed what I thought was the final blow, I found myself in the Safe Zone, complete with the "No more rings" message. And a scattering of loot from the monster I'd just offed. Rewinning the rings will be a bit of a pain, but no biggie, but if this is an honest glitch, here's the notice.
The Kong submitted levels don't seem to be working - I try to load one and if I'm lucky, the button text shows up on screen until I do something else. If I'm not lucky, the game freezes. Makes it a bit hard to get the easy badge.
Fun game, but needs a bigger dictionary and more vowels. It's hard to make words when all you get are consonants...And it's annoying when the penguin tells you to make a word starting with Q when you have three of them on the screen and no U's.
I enjoyed this one, sad as it is. But I don't think saying the alien is forgotten is accurate - the little girl is still crying as she walks away. Your actions while you live are what MAKE you immortal.
Aww, poor Kitty and Puppy! I hope if there's a sequel they're getting along better...Think the robot's any good at getting his companions used to each other? And it looks like the dislike is mutual here. On a positive note, that is one of the cutest pixelated puppies I have seen in a long time.
I'm not as concerned about how the cat got in there - it's a CAT, they do stuff like that. But the poor kitty looks so...surprised when the robot finally gets to it...
