Out of curiosity, what are the differences in weapons, and are they permanent like wing/tail/nose upgrades, or do I have to buy them every game? It's a bit confusing, and honestly, there's three weapons with the same price, but no indication as to what's different about them.
Who knew that bees were a natural predator to spiders? Good game, but the logo in the upper left often interferes with my need to attach to that portion of the screen.
Off white bullets on a yellow background make it hard to see and avoid damage. But then... it's not like you're not going to take ludicrous amounts of damage anyways. Too much of the game has things zipping in behind you at such high speeds you can't dodge them, and even if you could, too much bullet hell-like threading the needle of hailstorm attacks means if you move you get hit, if you don't move you get hit. Pods are neat... bring a lot. They die way too easily. Expect to farm money for pods. There's a second page of weapons and add-ons... didn't even see it until Mission 5. All in all, 5/5 for cute super-deformed sprites, 3/5 for playability. 2/5 for enjoyment.
Baby's First Bullet Hell!
Great game. Ramps up the difficulty slowly enough you can either follow the learning curve or simply upgrade past the potential risk. The only complaint I can possibly come up with is that lag intensive sections tend to make the mouse click for shield not fire correctly. You click the button... nothing happens. Not sure if this is a problem with WASD-Space.
I am the great undead lord of cheap gameplay! I shall spend all my points in bonus experience and heal, and then jump up and down and kill bosses with my level 1 fireball pointed straight down... and heal myself to full every 4 seconds! Behold my awesome awesomeness!
Killed everything... EVERYTHING on level 2. Every cow, every plane, every truck... 63/66 enemies killed. Where are these missing 3 enemies? Level 1 was no better.
Controls are bad but more than that, this game is rife with frustration. Terrible collision detection (you get bounced around or stuck in walls far more than you should). Certain upgrades seem pointless. Max scales and you still get one shot by the shark or sea monster. Spawn won't save you from an instagib. Mostly they helpfully swim down the shark's throat. Eating people is tedious, you can swim right down their life vest and cuddle them like a puppy... the only way to 'bite' them is to zigzag through them... increasing your chance to get stuck in a wall, jump into the air, take a tunnel you don't want or my favorite, SHARK FROM BEHIND THE CLIFF YOU CAN'T SEE! And don't get me started on the 'kill the SM level. First off, killing the shark doesn't mean he's dead for the round. Damage to him or the SM doesn't endure. So if you're one bite from killing the SM... and he ducks in the hole you have to start all over again. IF you can find him. All in all... cute concept. Lousy game.
