I remember heroically getting the hard badge as BOTD at like 11:40 pm, back in 2012. Good times. There is a system to progress, basically you have to buy an energy drink every time and make all your shots.

For the "inactive tab" issue: I've found that, in Chrome, giving the game its own separate window will let it run properly even when I'm using another window.
