I legitimately shed a tear on reading that this was coming to an end, it has been part of my daily routine for so many years. This game has helped me get a degree, it's helped me manage my mental health, it's even helped me make friends. Thank you for everything Tamaii, I hope life treats you well.
Valentines event has made me quit this game, it has become way too focused on derium (aka premium currency). The Christmas event made some use of derium but it was pretty minor so I didn't think twice about it. Then the black market was released and suddenly derium became a major driver of progression, I disliked the idea but I figured I would get them eventually with the daily login bonuses so I tolerated it. This Valentines event is ridiculous though. I wasn't sitting on 5k derium so now I miss out on days/weeks worth of chocolates? That is more than a little bit unfair. So the pay to win players and other people who were already ahead just snowball even harder and people like me get shafted.
Iv been warning about saving login derium for the event 1 week before the evnet. Also, the formation cost 5k and i did give 2k for free on the first days of the event + more 100k on giveaways. And I said I will add 500 more during the event. With the 400 from daily logins i think is not that hard to get 5k derium.
Is there some sort of release schedule? Starting a new season would be at most a 20% boost for me and then it would take a couple of weeks for me to get back to where I am but if there's a patch in that time that adds a new zone or crafting recipe or prestige option then I would be way better off waiting
Are you freaking kidding me? I Spent all my time and resources creating/farming/combining cores in an attempt to get the most value out them and now that I've finally got the E-X-L core I can't even dismantle it because apparently "this pin gives too many cells". News flash: If I can't dismantle it then it gives no cells! I guess I'll just keep leveling slowly with my 1,900 cells while this 15,000 core just sits in my inventory being useless
I feel like speedruns are just way too powerful, even with the DARK upgrade for more PSI on longer runs. I did an 18 hour run where I pushed to a new highest floor but I literally could have gotten the same amount of PSI in roughly 25 one minute long runs which is insane!
Indeed, fast runs are currently very good. I don't want to nerf them, as people seem to be having fun, so later I will simply add more benefits for long runs instead. (You already need to do long runs to increase your maximum speed all time - to get dark faster.)
Why are people getting downvoted for saying they got motion sick, I'm pretty sure that's useful feedback and at the very least it's a relevant comment.
The way everything moves when I move my mouse makes me feel sick. I had the same problem with Hotline Miami, these sort of games seem to be rarer and rarer these days and then I can't even play half of them because the features disagree with me :(
Solid little game. between, the music, the sound effects and the hectic game play it really reminds me of Robotron 64 (a game that I haven't thought about in a long time)
I usually don't like these games but I thought I'd give this one a go and I actually really enjoyed it. I'm colourblind and usually things like this make me feel disoriented but I was fine with this, I only messed up a few times and working on a pumpkin felt a lot more real than working on a ball.
Fortify is a cool idea but in it's current form it can never really be balanced. At the moment the amount of health you get is so small that it isn't really worth it but if you buffed the health gain then people would just go full defense and "farm" health on the early waves. Maybe make it a massive % health boost that only lasts for a second or two? Kind of like a defensive version of rapid fire.
It would be nice to have some sort of achievement/trophy type progression system, something that rewards you for getting to higher/harder waves. At the moment players are kind of incentivized to just spam through rounds as fast as they can. Set speed to x4, set wave-skip to max and I can get to wave 250, die and restart like 20 times in the same amount of time it would take me to slowly and methodically get to wave 400.
Yes, there is actually going to be a final goal for the game as well as an achievement system with multipliers (like +x0.01 base damage/health/droprate/startbonus per achievement).
