Here is a tip for those who try to conserve skill points: The cost of a skill is disproportional to its damage. So 3 flower blades(costs 21 pts) will do much more damage than 1 banish dance(costs 60 pts).
It is worth noting that the critical strike spell can be used as a makeshift heal spell. By defeating an enemy quickly by repeatedly using this allows you to defeat it before it can seriously drain your health
