Not sure what my favorite part was: the part where my four original soldiers stood there and shot nothing, the part where my engineer stood there and shot nothing, the part where my mortar stood there and shot nothing, or the part where my flamethrower stood there and shot nothing. Every time I play this game it seems to get worse, with more ways for the Germans to own your face, and your soldiers getting steadily worse. Wtf kind of strategy game doesn't allow you to issues orders? That's the first mistake. Secondly, I'm pretty sure an average Allied solider could hit a german at 0-15yards; something these soldiers seem completely incapable of doing. Needs a major, major overhaul.
Yeah I have to agree with the comments about the poor implementation of harder difficulty. It basically just makes you the unluckiest person ever. Lost 16 food 3 days in a row. This is "fun".
3/5. Nice concept, tons of room to expand. Bugs are killer. Twice in a row my tower suddenly dissapeared, money stopped tracking correctly, etc. Very disappointing to lose that work.
Pretty average. Kind of a mix between generic tower defense games and tug of war type games like Epic War. Needs unit upgrades, and other areas of depth to be better.
Dodgeball Challenge map = worst map design ever in the history of any game. Can only be a challenge when it involves skill, not bullshit luck and pretty much anything but skill.
If you played Infectanator there's very little new here. And btw, speaking of that, you gave us a zombie unit who is powerful, fast, and propagates itself, why would you use anything else? :)
Unfortunately in this game bad luck > good planning. Had two queen bees hit the exact same point at the same time and half my web collapsed. Was doing flawlessly up until that point, which proves that a bit of bad luck can ruin even the best of plan. Needs to have some kind of internal cooldown on certain spawns in my opinion, just to make it more fair.
I like the game, and the design, though it's a rip off of several other games just like it; bacteria wars, ant wars, etc. However, once you get Attack lvl 5/Defense lvl 5 it becomes inexcusably easy.
All in the same game:
At least a dozen direct grenade/missile hits do nothing to my soldiers, then one that hits nowhere near kills 6 in the same blast, and demoralizes 2 more who run off.
Soldier with 200 health gets shot and taken down to -45.
Bazooka soldier fails to kill with 3 direct hits, then turns around and blows up my own bunker.
Bad programming = Bad.
Fail moar plox.
The game is fun, no doubt, but some serious design flaws make it pretty average overall. Despite the designers insistence that revenge waves are "fair", they can potentially make it literally impossible to win. If you arrive with their castle with just enough units to get it half way down, then 2-3 waves magically respawn, you can be overrun no matter what you do. Units often outright refuse orders, etc. Needs to be adjusted.
A mix of interesting strategy and uncompromising gayness. You'll go for countless rounds with a strategy that works, and then all of a sudden a grenade or two comes flying across the map and kills everything you have in one fell swoop. Save 20 rounds for an AAA gun, and have it killed the very next second by a magical explosion. Play with caution.
This is a blatant rip off of another game I've played and they didn't pull it off nearly as well. Boxes get stuck in random places for no reason, etc. lots of small things that really detract from the overall game.
This game is decent. It begins fold in upon itself for two reasons: 1. The length is clearly there just to say it's a lengthy game. 2. The skills/items cannot save the game from the EXTREMELY repetitive gameplay.
This is an alright game. Alright because it has a good concept and a good basis. Not great because some of the features are so asinine it's silly. For instance: The hero talent Alchemy which states "Allows the acquiring of gold for every round divisible by the number of enemy portals." That is... the harder the level (i.e. more portals) the LESS gold I'll get? That's just bad programming.
Since when do items not persist on this game? I could have sworn they did... Btw wurm, you don't get the hard badge if you beat it on easy... read the achievement.
Second mission is brutal on hardened. Only noticeable way to win is to push an assault and riflemen up the middle immediately. If you don't they'll get entrenched and eventually beat your morale down.
