for the 70 kmph badge (of the day), I hit as many normal gates as I could, followed by a tunnel and a jump. I've found the using a shallow waving to the snow will help you keep the multiplyer up and possibly your speed, too.

If you're playing Endurance, **AVOID** the extra ball powerups, because they can count as lost balls too. I found out the hard way.
