At the risk of repeating what pretty much everyone else has said, the upgrades are too expensive. By jump 13 I had only managed to get the wheels and the helmet. And as I was still going too slow to crash, I only bought the helmet because I could afford it, not because I needed it. I like this kind of game, but this one was not much fun.
You know, sometimes when I hit a "help" button on a game, I want a hint, not a whole walkthrough. Video walkthroughs are nice, don't get me wrong...but when I get stuck I'd really rather have a nudge in the right direction, rather than someone showing me exactly how to do it. I like having the option of the walkthrough. Please don't get me wrong. It just would also be nice to have hints here and there, for times when I'm stuck but not hopelessly frustrated. Thanks.
Nice game, lovely art. It really needs better music! I've heard the same exact music in Looming and at least one other game here on Kong. The same-ness kept distracting and annoying me. 4/5.
Wonderful. Simply wonderful. My mind boggles at the amount of work that went into this, giving *every single* book a title of some sort, all the other wonderful details. I do believe that Bob the Spider is the ONLY arachnid I would welcome into my home! Beautiful job. 5/5
Woooooooooah. Excellent game! The puzzles were just tough enough without being frustrating, and the storyline kept me wondering WTF was going on. Looking forward to Chapter 2! (Oh, and kudos to the Jack/Rose note, which I took to be a Titanic reference...) 5/5
After catching several tons of assorted fish, it occurred to me to suggest an in-game achievement for catching a huge number of fish. Maybe a fish head hat for catching 500k fish?
Is there a cap on how much you can have in the bank and still get interest? If so, what is it? I was still getting interest today with *ahem* well beyond the goal set in the game...until I accidentally hit "withdraw all" instead of "collect interest". I promptly re-deposited the money, but have not had any interest since. I suppose I could refresh, but I've got a mountain of snails and burgers that I don't want to loose!
I agree that it would be good to have a way to keep our fish/burgers. Maybe that could be a purchasable item? Even two; a refrigerator to keep burgers good at Burger Ping, and a bucket to keep your fish fresh? For that matter, those could even be upgradeable-- start with a limit on how many fish/burgers you can keep and let us buy upgrades. I don't mind shelling out; at this point I've got tons of money and not much to spend it on when I don't feel like gambling.
And as to hats, how about a turban? Or a bandanna to go with the cowboy hat?
Wonderful game. Would give eight stars if I could. Everything about it was lovely. The story...profound in its simplicity. Same goes for the graphics, and the music was wonderful. Beautiful, beautiful game.
I am finding this game oddly mesmerizing. No idea why I just spent 15 minutes of my life staring at a status bar filling and emptying....oh well. Like I said, oddly mesmerizing.
Gotta admit I did not have high hopes on this one. I'm usually not a putt-putt type of game...but the graphics caught my eye. I'm glad they did. Between those enchanting graphics and an engaging gameplay, I loved this game. I was actually surprised and dismayed when I reached the end of the course; usually I quit golf games before the 6th hole. Well done!!
