Great little glitch :/ Just clicking along the bottom of the play area to fire along the ground. Sometimes, that would cause a sudden change in the selected unit. But worse, one time, I clicked along there, losing the link to my selected unit, but have no units selected unlike other times. Turns out, the glitch randomly killed all 4 of my other units, even though I had wiped out everything in half of the map. Nothing could've killed them. Only that stupid glitch erasing 4 troops (and 120 exp, as they were fully upgraded).
Easy and cheap way to get +10 weapons: Save the game, Refine the weapon to Refine Level 10 in one shot. If it fails, reload and retry. If it succeeds, congrats, you have a +10 weapon in a short time, without losing any weapons, or wasting money. Now you can use the money saved on new soldiers.
Hmmm, bit of a bug. You can transfer money to a country you just unlocked but haven't actually gone to. Unfortunately you'll lose the money, and are forced to wait the 7 days before you're able to transfer again :( Lame... and how do so many people manage to get popularity to zero and keep it there for a long time? I try to build badly and the best I managed was under 5% for about 36 hours before it jumped back up... can't get the Loser of the Year achievement, which requires 3 whole days at under 5% popularity.
Easy way to keep the first pet alive to game completion, keep it in the Pet Shelter, if you even wanna keep it. You can try to keep it alive if you use it... but that can be a problem when monsters turn invisible, target your pet and kill it when you can't even see the monster, much less attack it. I've lost many pets and have died numerous times from getting attacked by invisible , untargetable monsters.
I've also tried going to Castaway Beach to heal over time, instead of resting at the Traveller's Den, only to get hit by an invisible Venom Snake that poisons and kills me. Very annoying.
Not likely to be fixed, though. Liqwidgames clearly abandoned Castaway on Kong after they uploaded it.
Bad lag preventing combos from stacking. Reached 87, then suddenly, I could never gather more than 30x combo because lag slows my action, and erases all combo progress >_< There needs to be a game quality adjustment option for older computers. Stopped at 190 million points, gathered with low combos :(
Hit %: 97
Final Score: 2931524
Awesome... what's lame, though is it bugged at locked in red at the end, abruptly ending the game for me... I would've scored a whole lot more... but ugh, so tedious... now, lets see if Kong bothers to show my top score now...
Only trouble with the last Adventure mission is you might miss a couple of the birds carrying the diamonds. In the frenzy, they can slip passed unnoticed. Just keep trying, and keep a close eye on the fast flying birds. They are evil, but they can be dealt with
On Challenge 11, Hell, grab the Grenade launcher, jump over the weapon spawn on the far right side (which has a ledge to fall to your death) and lob grenades over the little hill until your health is low. Sure way to kill a lot as the Devils hang back. When you die, try to collect more Launchers to reload, then rush right
It doesn't count against you, or count for your opponent and gives you full health. Just be ready to move so the opponent doesn't capitalize on your freeze state.
There's a trick to winning the last two challenges. Really, it can work on almost any, so long as you can keep the lead in kills, and so long as there is somewhere you can fall to your death. Challenge 10 is easy. Grab your shotgun, kill a few times, then fall down when your health is low
Whoa, this is like a revved up version of Liero, a more classical 2D Platformer (For those who don't know, Liero is similar to Worms Armageddon, played in real time, instead of the traditional turn based play). I need a Ninja Rope to get some serious air here and it'll be perfect! More Music too, plz.
I gotta wonder about the mess of the hyper sensitive/under sensitive controls... one moment, when you need a strong push, Meat Boy's slugging along, but when you need a gingerly nudge, he's off like a rocket... and dies... oh well, in spite of that, completed every single mission and:
Congratulations! You just won the Deceptive Dessert Badge and 30 points!
Well, that's that. Very sweet... just don't like the bugs, like the return to beginning from the exit bug. Bleh, so tedious.
Hmm, 35 was very easy. Only needed 2 energy balls, including the starting one while I figured out which button triggered which door. Just figure out the pattern, know where to aim your portal, and don't waste time... but also don't rush. You've got plenty of time if you just think about the pattern.
Second time that I got pretty far into the game, then lost my profile cause my browser closed. What's the point of playing through and having a profile if it doesn't get saved in the first place?
Btw, capture the flag by clearing enemies ahead of your troops. Mounted troops are best, though you can hit them by accident more easily then infantry types. Slow down the enemy with Ice Wave then snipe them when they lag behind the flag.
Interface is decent, and I like the double speed option, though a hot key to quick select a building would be nice, as those tiny building buttons are entirely too close to the bottom of the screen, very bad for a mouse scrolling player.
I do like the sound and graphics, though. Very on par with C&C: Gold Edition (Win 95 version), which is very good, indeed, for a flash game.
All in all, it's a pretty game, but needs a lot of work to improve the logical aspects of progression. 3/5 for the nostalgia, looks, and decent attempt at a flash RTS similar to the legendary C&C universe.
