Wow, balance is totally off. I had to kill 30 guys to get enough mana to cast a single lightning bolt then I use it and it does 8 damage.
I'll throw 3-4 25g Kuni at an enemy and sometimes one does massive damage and sometimes I'll do about 5 damage total between them all. Not very good for something I spend so much money on.
Hey Taco, the way I see it if you did the coding yourself based on someone elses game it's still a good learning experience and worth it.
Hell, look at the number of Snake/Maze/Find the button games on this website.
Oh wow, a maze game. Never seen this type before. Sadly, it gets beaten the same way they all do because no one block the ways to jump straight to the end.
Stuck this on my favorites, have more stuff to check out tonight but this is great. It really makes me have to think the levels out.
4/5, get some decent music and API and that's 5/5
So I'm eatin' doritos one day and wondering how that gal from those comercials is so skinny if she eats Doritos when I start trippin' and giant pixelated images start flying past.
Did I get that about right?
123 and I gave up and hit one on purpose. This is hardly epileptic, and what's with all the epilepsy games recently?
Besides my frist attempt where I was at the very side when the side ones came in the first time I was never in any danger.
Btw, the writers name is Ryunosuke Akutagawa, and it's "In a Grove" for those who are interested.
The game is actually quite short if you can get past the controls, poorly done enemies and everything else.
Oh, if you want your sword to combo, better really mash that space bar, and don't trust that you'll be facing a direction just because you hit that key on your keyboard.
For those who haven't managed to figure it out. Pressing right and left moves forward and backward through the text, though it barely seems to work when you press it. I had to hold keys down to get it to register.
Hit detection is absolutley horrid, with the first guy either holding you in a corner unable to move or just catching you time and time again when you are 5 feet above him.
It's way too easy to get caught up on the walls as you run around, as well.
Also, it's the Resident Evil 4 game over sound for the game over screen, only thing is it repeats over and over again, as I know all to well as I write this.
The game shows promise but it's far far from being worth attempting.
Ok, the guy that made the original bubbles is MINDDistortion, and you can play the original here:

It's dead on, down the the sounds, except this one is reskinned to look uglier.
You actually just called into question every other game you put on this site.
There was a game a week ago that was almost dead on this one. Down the the annoying jumping on death/new level. Makes me wonder......
However, unless webjunk22 cares to prove these are his, _stolen_
Ok, you've got a memory leak in here somehow, after 5-6 attempts at the first boss the game starts to slow badly.
The mute function refuses to stay muted between attempts, which is annoying.
Downing the first boss would take total perfection, you'd have to dodge the random shot aimed at you while circling and hitting him anywhere between 77 & 167 times, depending on just how many damage upgrades you got. You can take 2 two shots, or three if you got a single health upgrade.
Also, for some odd reason the prices on Invulnerability & Invisibility don't show up.
This needs a ton of work.
