I somehow managed to catch a 220 lbs Sturgeon, but those damn Sharks are impossible to catch... Yes, I can hook them (probably, biggest shadows there are, never actually CAUGHT any yet), but the reeling system is way too hard to play against SLACKING...
Catching LARGE sharks is kinda LUCK-based: you throw in the bait, double-click a few times until it's out again, while hoping it will "accidentally" catch a shark. But I lost a good dozen of HUGE fishes, so I can't know, whether they were these stupid LARGE SHARKS... This game is too hard...
Definitely needs LOCATIONS and FISHPEDIA.
Someone said it before, about different fishes living in different locations AND the need for info on fishes and their traits.
I totally agree on "the more you catch, the more you know about it".
EXAMPLE. Prima fish: locations - Lake, River, Sea; min equipment - bamboo, long; bait - red Worms, any Shrimps; size - 0.5-2.8 lbs; etc etc etc...
PLEASE, HAVE IT IN MIND!
This is basically a "Time Machine Story Mode Dragon Ball" scenario. What if SSJ3 Goku went back to the DB times... Funny to see Tao Paipai as a "boss". :DDDDD (This definitely needs more chapters and a more in-depth character roster, but otherwise - SUPERB game. Please, don't abandon it...)
Another funny wow.
Sure, it's a glitch, but I like it:
You can't power-up to the full max after using some Ki - you must BEAT it out of the opponent first.
(The yellow one you can power-up, but it goes down with use, so you must rebuild it through the red one.)
I really like it, though it makes the game harder.
Also, the controls should be easier and better-working.
But the gameplay itself is truly DBZish and intense.
Again, VERY NICE. :D
Oh, and to all complaining about high COMBO count...
Guys, it's DRAGON BALL!!!
Like I mentioned below, Infinite World is a good example of a "realistic" DB fighting and it employs LOTS of comboing!!! :DDD
It SHOULD be so, just watch any intense DB fight (some are too dragged out, but some are really intense)...
Wow.
I played Infinite World on PCXS2 recently, and funny enough, this game gives a similar feeling.
Which is VERY nice.
10/5
Would be 1000/1 if (WHEN) you add MORE (MUCH MORE) characters, and maybe enable in-battle transformations.
Cause your battle system itself is nearly PERFECT (for a FLASH).
:DDD
The game IS broken... For the last 10 minutes, I'm in a stalemate with a legless shield-wielding AUTO-HEALING idiot, who just sits there in a constant BLOCK, so my even WEAKEST attacks, with the hit rate of over 80%, ALWAYS get blocked. And this piece of shit is HITTING ME BACK each time!!! BROKEN BATTLE!!! :(((((
After lots of playing, I found out that: 1. SPEED works, just not as much as you'd expect. I get faster/double turns for some of my glads with really high SPEED, when it's 3x1 in the end of battle. 2. The non-dead legless guys are useful to HEAL and MP-BOOST. I had a few "who bleeds out first" end-games, and I won through extensive HEALING. So, I'd also like to have a single-guy RETREAT button like in Monsters Den, but it's not always needed. 3. I hate enemies using SHIELD BLOCK or whatever. All I can do then, is just BLOCK myself and wait until the idiot stops crouching, to finish him off in, hopefully, one turn. Sometimes, this prolongs the battle for minutes, with the lone shielded idiot with the counter-strike ability making my three glads cheer the crowd endlessly...
