Love the game! A few things, though. 1) speed up button. 2) balance the stat gain a bit. 2/level feels very slow in trying to get certain abilities or equip certain gear. 3) Classes? Like you could choose ranger/cleric/fighter, etc. They could give a boost to raising some stats (2 points into a fighters strenght raise 3 points...)
Suggestion: Active crusaders moved to the front of the queue bar at the bottom. This way, we can more easily judge who to level, or at least be able to more easily actively level the ones we are using without constantly clicking and scrolling.
So, decided to make a run through as a pure pirate hunter. Lvl 2 officer drops rare energy module. Lvl 3 officer drops an epic prototype astro x2 mining drill. Guess I'll restrategize.
For higher level bosses... hit and run. Missiles work great for this. A carrier hauling 4 6x missile pods, a heavy afterburner, and a (forgot the name) shield recharge unit can target the boss, and as soon as the missiles launch, change your target to a station or gate, then hit the afterburners. Get 150k away, cancel the burners, retarget (now your missiles are recharged), and do another drive by or two, then repair at a station. This is slow, but can take down any boss. (I like to pick off all the squad first)
Awesome game. Ideas for future builds: Crew that you can hire that boost stats (% to fire rate, ship base speed, auto hull regen, etc). Kill pirate quests (like kill 10 acolytes). Transport NPC to x system. Multi targeting option (so the swarms of smaller ships are manageable).
I LOVE this game. The concept is awesome! Some tweaks that should be made in an update/sequel, though: astral items should be permanent. Equip in dungeon (if you click to soon after finding an item) needs fixed. Automap feature? Class balance (I hate classes with just a single mediocre skill... knight? really?). EXP for healing/triggering battle ability, priests are a terror to level up. Maybe a couple of bonus classes if all others are unlocked? Vote up if you agree!
Today I found 10 fuel and 2 books in a mission. With 4:00 left, the server disconnected. Lost it all. This problem needs to be fixed, I am not the only one to suffer this. Please vote this comment up so it can be noticed and addressed.
It would be awesome if we could use upgrades in any level after they have been unlocked. It would give more replayability to earlier levels.... Also, if each level had several levels of waves after you beat it once, or different ways to play like in gemcraft, it would add hours of playing time...
