I really enjoyed this game a lot. Gave it 5 stars, favorited it... but... once I got 100% completion, the motivation to play went way down. So... the final award, while awesome, will probably not get used.
I loved it. I played every level at all three difficulties and I maxed out everything. Things I would like to see added are an autosave (desperately needed), a speed up button ( really important - I spent a lot of time waiting for enough mana to cast the tower, for units to finish building, for this, for that....), we need units who are told to stay NOT to advance when the enemy comes near. I would love to see an "Advance with slowest unit" option. It got old hitting "assault" and having Kara run off to die before my titan unit had barely moved.
As far as difficultly, I don't think it needs to be harder. Nothing wrong with a game that can be played casually, and the hard and epic modes do add challenge. Perhaps a "nightmare" difficulty?
But I DON'T like that I had to farming. I set up the Goblin challenge level and let it run in the background while I was doing something else.
But, over all, I loved it. I like the units, the strategies you can use, and I can't wait to see an EW5.
I did really enjoy this, but I do with there was some ability to save progress. WASD type games are not my strength and I would get frustrated with some of the areas.... but if I stop playing, I have to start back over at the beginning. Otherwise, awesome.
Bait and switch, baby. Look! Cool game with shiny graphics! And... best of all, it's free to play! But... if you want to actually be competitive, if you want the best equipment... you have to fork over real money. Just market it as a subscription game.
shMerker said it very well. The last mission, I cleared the map. There was no more creeper anywhere. Why am I fleeing? Fun little game, the levels take too long. Otherwise... I enjoyed it.
@Guolin, No... not in for "just" for the achievement. I said I enjoyed it alot, I'm just becoming very frustrated that I don't seem to be able to advance. I don't know what I'm doing wrong... but advancement at level 2 is very slow, and I can't compete at level 3.
I was enjoying this game immensely, but the advancement is way way way too slow. I'm very frustrated with it at this point. The "Hard" achievement? I just don't see that I'm ever getting that.
