I really like the keyboard shortcuts, they save some mouse-work, but you really need one that ends the turn! Overall this is very nice for the first chapter of a game like this - for the next chapter, consider adding more complexity with the skills? This is a promising start, can't wait to see what comes next.
Interesting idea, and I like the things that are less about replicating another game with different graphics/characters/story but rather something much more innovative and new, but even so, some kind of thing to make you come back to this would be nice. A story, or multiple styles of play, or some bigger thing would help a lot. The trick would be to manage to add that without taking away the simplicity aspect that makes this so interesting.
It'd be nice if the tutorial/instructions explained the 'bring-along' aspect. After two games I still don't understand it, so I'm leaving. 1/5 for failed instructions.
I might like this game if it weren't PoS (Pay or Suck). But without that, and considering the many, many glitches (a skeleton looking like a turnip is merely amusing, but dying only to respawn inside of a tree? That's downright annoying.), I can't give this a good rating. 3/5 disregarding the PoS crap, but because of that it gets 1/5 from me, and I don't believe I'll be playing unless it has badges, and then it will be only to earn them and move on.
Good game overall. Only thing it sorely needs is a consistent way to get the Random achievement and a reset/forfeit button (for those times when I pick up a weapon bonus that I don't want to keep forever, so I can start the level over from my last save without refreshing the page/committing suicide).
Wow. Amazing music, amazing art, and amazing game. Love the feature with the indicator of where you mouse would be on the other copy of the art - very helpful. Interesting way of doing hints as well. Only real criticism is that sometimes (well, often) you can see the grid interface that you click on - this can allow cheating, of sorts, or just cause confusion (since sometimes there's a grid without a difference). Very nice job overall - 5/5.
This is a nice, incredibly simplified, online version of MtG. Easy to beat, but relatively enjoyable. All it needs now is the ability to fight other people online.
@Matti12345: It has a save functio nof sorts; if you've beaten a level you can press the right arrow key to skip it. Presisng it multiple times will get you to where you left off (and you can go gthe other way to; left arrow moves you back a level). However you can't save your progress in the middle of a given level; when you come back it's reset. Though a button (on the start page) to skip the button mashing would be nice. Overall, a great relaxing game; very nice to relieve stress in the middle/at the end of a stressful day. 5/5
I find that this game is very good for the most part, but specific enemies make it incredibly annoying (the arena-bot, the jester, the paladin, the troll, and possibly a few others I forgot). Until that gets solved, 3/5 (because it's a VERY good game otherwise); once that is solved, 5/5.
Certain parts of this are insanely stupid and overly difficult, but other than that it's a pretty good game. The Robot boss (to get to level 6) is waaaay too hard for a Psionic, dunno about other classes yet. If you removed the stun chance of Ion Cannon and lowered its damage it would be fine; as it is I simply have to hope for a large amount of luck, cause I have the best equipment I can get and all my skills fully upgraded, and I've tried all the strategies I know of.
For those who insist that the Experiment card is buggy: I disagree. I've used it a lot and I go insane about 20% of the time; ther eis luck involved and it is possible to have a very bad streak.
I really dislike the challenges.
Oh, by the way, 122112, if you could not spam the same thing over and over... it'd be nice... you're looking like one of the 'little kids' you claim that this will attract, no offense.
