Hi. I’m just an amateur, so there may be better ways to read .swf files, but it took me only about 10min. so it’s not so bad method i think :) First you need to extract .swf from your browser. Unfortunately, i don’t have Chrome (and can not install it), but it may work similar to one of other browsers. In Firefox (v.20) you can do it by choosing something like ‘site properties’ or ‘site info’ from click-menu (i’m not sure what’s it exact english name, because all my browsers are in polish :) ). Then in one of the sections, probably ‘media’, you can see all elements of the site. Find the one you’re looking for and save it somewhere.
In Opera (v.12) everything can be found in Tools – Advanced – Cache, you just need to know web site name (here it would be kongregate.com, naturally).
Alternatively, in Windows, you can open site in Internet Explorer and then find Temporary Internet Files folder, .swf will be there.
Now you need some flash\.swf editor\extractor\reader\viewer. I used first one from google – Flash Decompiler Trillix, but its free version is a demo with extremly limited functionality, only good enough to be a ‘viewer’.
After opening .swf with it, you ‘only’ have to find the exact thing you’re looking for (and this may be the bigger problem in some cases :) ). Here, in EWS, it was quite easy because elements are grouped in nice fashion (and thanks to gust4v3 i knew the script name). You can naturally find there more than just a scripts, also sounds, sprites, videos and images.
