Had trouble finding the 12th achievement, but I was able to finally get it after a second playthrough. I did education first instead of adventure like I did previously and when u use you invention to meet your alternate self if u fight from the perspective of the scientist duck u get a last panel that says 'Caught in Time Loop'. Could be where some others were stuck so doing what I can to help.
I noticed a glaring error when I was using the slot machine. When I got all crap it gave me a Sheep Cannon. Obviously this is a mistake and I hope it get's rectified soon.
An interesting concept, but by the time I realized I was flipping 3D shapes I had already beaten it. It isn't clear that the shape is 3D and I only noticed when I was randomly flipping one of the later ones for the hell of it. It's far too easy to just randomly flip the shape around to fit the outline. It's a good idea it just needs a little work.
Me again. Leaving too many of these lol. I like this games difficulty. It's based more on strategy than a lot of other TD games and I find that refreshing.
To add to my previous comments, I disagree about a speed up button. Given the speed of normal mobs I think that the giant rounds give me a chance to go over my defenses and prepare for the next rounds. I think the speed is fine. Personal preference though. Also, the levels are incredibly well designed. This becomes especially apparent in later levels with all the twisting and turning paths and really adds to the difficulty. If I wasn't a poor college student I would definitely get premium to support you. Maybe soon :)
At a certain point at the higher levels it is easy to get overwhelmed by multiple giants being sent out close together. The Golem having a weakness to cannons while none of the other giants seem to have one seems weird and I think that at least two of the other giants should have a weakness to the other two towers.
On another note, I love how the tower aesthetic. having your hero climb the towers to get to the giants and the towers themselves not being random shapes on a flat map give it a feel of playing a real TOWER defense game. Love it.
Fun and incredibly addicting, but I agree with others that the price of things is just ridiculous. I've played this game for hours going for the hard badge and just because of how fun the game is and I still haven't even gotten the 15000 coin skin, in part due to how much the upgrades and items needed for missions cost. With only getting a couple hundred coins on average per run, this is plain ridiculous. 4/5 for a great game that needs some ironing out.
The only problem I had was the lack of a confirmation when clicking the quit battle button. It sucks when you're a couple of rounds away from the hard badge in survival mode when you accidentally click the quit button and undo all your work. A message asking if you're sure or not would've prevented that. Other than that though, this is a damn fun game that is perfect for someone wanting a more traditional rpg. 5/5
This is easily one of my favorite games on the site, but I've been unable to complete it. The further I get in the game the more severe the lagging gets to the point of unplayability. If anyone has any way to fix this please let me know. I use Chrome if that might have an effect.
Was doing well in this game, never found an enemy i couldn't beat fairly easily even the virus died quickly. Then I came across the Sky Monoliths. That was the single longest fight in the game. I spent over a dozen coffees, but I came out on top. Picked up Syphon, which I should have done way earlier, and those things are just the easiest thing in the game to kill. So word of advice: Pick up Syphon early on it'll probably help on other things too.
Well, at least the hard badge gives me another reason to play the whole thing again. Who would really pass up playing this amazing game one more time by reloading and just beating the final boss?
@Wadou
The Epic Battle Fantasy series is definitely worth it. It's a fun and affectionate parody of the RPG genre and, in my opinion, is better than many produced by big name companies. How long it will take varies on how much you want to complete, but I would think since 3 and 4 are so expansive compared to 1 and 2 it'd take several hours probably. And I know how you feel about Ocarina of Time. When I was really young and got the N64 for Christmas it was the first game I got, but I only ever got past the first boss. I was too young to really do much with it and when I went through a big move later in life, but before my teenage years, I threw out my N64 and all the games because I felt that old games weren't worth it. One of my biggest regrets :(. But yes EBF is worth it.
You've given me nightmares and made me feel horrible for what I put Pac-man through. And I love you for it. This game is just plain phenomenal because it provides a twist on a classic that is truly original unlike so many others. 5/5 just brilliant and I have to agree about the top down instant replay. That would be awesome.
Chrome, being the bastard it is, deleted my save. At first I was like. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! But then I realized that I have an excuse to play through the first half of this amazing game again.
Great game. Combines all my favorite TD games in one and pulls it off excellently. If I could suggest any improvement it would be for the visual notices you receive when your towers can level up to continue when it comes to the branching abilities of the max level towers. Sometimes I would find myself forgetting about those upgrades in the heat of the moment or if I had to leave the comp for a moment. Also some kind of visual representation of enemies poisoned by the archer tower's poison arrow. Sometimes I'm unsure if it's working or not. An almanac with detailed info about enemies, towers, and other things in the game would be cool as well.
I decide to play a game that does have a badge for once and a few minutes after I beat it up pops a badge lol. Anyway, this is a nice simple game that good for killing a few minutes. I love your games and you should keep up the good work
