I'm excited to hear your whole story on figuring it out - that was interesting! Also - the woodcutting is a much bigger benefit than just a few experience.
Might just be missing it, but I'm not sure what the orange bars next to the skill level do. I know I can click on it when it gets full and it resets, but does that do anything? Does it influence the skill leveling up?
Really good! Loved the music and simplicity, quickly introducing new 'mechanics' or tasks without telling the player, but remaining simple and not challenging. Very short but does a good job in the small time it has.
Um, I got all the equipment, and all the achievements, on my first run..? Is this game supposed to be this easy? The only way I could see how you could lose is to get two dragons in a row without restocking on a divine edge. (Which is how I did end up dying) I went from level 1 to 14 from just one run.
If you keep joining unjoinable units (Ex: an alchemist and any other unit) they will each recover some health after the combination is 'rejected'. Made the game unloseable if you abuse this.
It'd be cool if you could buy little 'buddies' to help you out. Either permanent ones that would respawn each room, or consumable ones, that you have to repurchase every time they die. They could be on autopilot, or perhaps stay in formation with you.
In the instructions, it says to click on two 'different' colored shapes to switch them. However, it seems like you can switch two of the same colored shapes?
