Errr, it's not that it's a horrible game, the concept overall just isn't that good. I personally wouldn't send a customized snowman to my friends... but I'll give you props for the art. The snowwoman made me laugh.
Nice for your first game. I'm looking forward to your submissions in the future. :) For your next challenge, try making more complex enemy models and realistic walking animations. Maybe make everything smaller to fit more things on the screen, or have it so you can walk around a big map with the camera following you. 3/5 for first game :)
As someone who doesn't know AS, if I were going to get into game development I would definitely find this useful for starting out. Although very,very basic, still useful to the beginner.
You could at least use your own graphics... and add some custom things to make it more than just the default Shoot! game. I can understand if it was your first submission after testing the shootorials... but you could try making it original instead of an exact replica.
