Definitely needs a balance patch at some point. I played as the Japanese empire and all you needed to do was get the Wind Dash skill at level 15 and just oneshot whole armies.
That said, the only way that I ever died was Wind Dashing off the edge of the map which kills you instantly. Perhaps just stop the Wind Dash early rather than kill my character instantly.
The 'round' seems to finish when you destroy a gate, causing no enemies to spawn. This is pretty pointless as it means that you can stack all three units on one row with minimal penalty.
I have no complaints from my elevator system. 35 floor high hotel with 170 guests. You just have to think a bit outside the box. The way i thought about it was like this: "how do i get multiple elevator cars moving through one shaft?". That's not technically possible, but there are ways to achieve a similar effect.
Wow this game is great! ...people say it should be 'longer'. I hope they just mean more challenging. Once the first season is over you basically wipe the floor with everyone all day, then you can't possibly make a positive income even with 100 fame and everything conquered. It is a great game regardless, i just think you could have a simple level-scaling mechanic that at least gives you the option to fight someone way outside your strength range. Either way, great game!
Really awesome game, if i can reccomend something it would be that the special weapons could be activated with a mouseclick, when going for big combos it scares me every time i have to jump my fingers of WASD to hit a special.
Highest range-independent damage-per-second possible is achieved using one single cannon. Connect the two boilers using long pipes and one pressure gauge (not a steam tank). Somewhere along the left side of this long pipe create a T junction which leads to a control valve. Block the left side of the control valve and add a cannon to the right side. lead a direct pipe straight to the cannon off the right side of the switch. At the cannon end, lead a pipe off to one side made entirely of T-sections and on each of these T-sections add a steam valve. When in combat, wait for your pressure to hit about 50 PSI, then quickly flick the lever to the right and then back to the left, the cannon should fire and the many steam vents should cause the cannon to reload quickly without much loss of pressure overall. It is possible to kill the saber-weilding bot before it gets a third of the way across the screen with this technique.
Love this game! I'll admit it does get tough towards the 700m mark, the last achievements i have to unlock are the distance ones, but maybe i just suck. People say "this game could be great with more development" but i disagree. This game is already great in its own right, and making a story mode is something for the sequel. It would be like putting a story mode on pacman, its just not necessary. I would have liked to see more variation in the terrain, especially more areas which favour one upgrade over another (maybe some straight hallways where high speed is needed, and maybe fill them with slimes so you need a good weapon too) so that you feel like each skill is equally valuable. Obviously i congratulate you on making this game in such a short amount of time, but i don't think that its such a good thing. I would rather play a game that the developer has polished 'till it shines.
Every difficulty completed, was only hit once. Either way, still an enjoyable demonstration of Unity's prowess. But lets face it, someone has to upload Offroad Velociraptor Safari.
Wow. Nice addition to the series! I hope this doesn't count as a true sequel though, i see it more as a spin-off game, and a good one at that. It can get really intense. Also, i like the fact that there is no aiming arc for your planes. It means that it takes some time with each plane to master its strengths and weaknesses. For instance, planes with narrow firing arcs used to be my least favourite. Until i learned to plan ahead properly and start lining up lines of enemies.
Score should keep counting while you are "going down" though. Definitely.
We all know, there are plenty of similar "Phage-Wars-Esque" games out there. But WOW! way to add a huge twist! The tentacles work perfectly, as does the slow increase up through the ranks of organisms.
The only problem i can see is that there is no explanation for the game mechanics. For instance: the moment your organism becomes an 'ANT', you can send out at least one tentacle and it remains an 'ANT'. Though this is a neat addition and saves you time and time again; why does it happen? It almost feels like a bug.
Great game in any case! ~At least!~ 4/5
Just got 100,000 using one trampoline and one Prox mine. Took more than an hour. A turtle got caught between the roof and the tramp going up and down xD
Thanks for the feedback. Noted. A lot of people are commenting about the income too. We will try our best to balance it up.
