Having pause on P is very intuative, but having it be on a key that's closer to the ones you use to play, so you don't risk breaking a combo or even failing the song if you need to pause, would be nice. :)
I think the option to buy more cat paws without having to go into the shop every time would be a good quality of life adjustment for the game. :) ...Or should I say, :3
Hello, you are correct, going to the shop everytime can be tedious, especially when most of the game is automated. That's why I've made Cat Paws purrmanent! You buy them, you keep them forever!
Personally, I don't really care that this is only a 20-level sample of a bigger game, that's fine, 5-minutes games have a demographic on this site, but what's NOT as fine is that this game unfortunately feels unpolished in a number of ways.
First of all, level 20 just feels like level 19 again with how you get all 3 stars, you're doing basically the exact same solution. Secondly, no 'R' to reset or 'undo' button. Plus, on top of that, the reset plays the opening animation of the level again, which just wastes time. Third, there is NOTHING telling us how many moves we need to complete a level with 1, 2 or 3 stars, you're left to just kinda guess. It would be helpful, especially if the levels get much harder than this, to have an indication of how many moves you need to make. That having been said, there is promise here. This game could be good, or even great, with a few minor tweaks like this. As it stands, it's fine. A decent little time-waster, but nothing special.
As others have said, I think pressing a key on the keyboard should be able to undo rather than just the mouse. Having 100% keyboard controls as an option would make the game more user-friendly. :)
What's the difference between "monster money" and "gold per monster"? The "monster money" boost from the merchant's guild works as intended, but I have 2 1mil "gold per monster" boosts from the gem chest that don't seem to do much.
Soooo
Are the inverted levels SUPPOSED to be impossible to win? I get to the end and nothing happens. I click 'check' and it says I made 0 mistakes, I click on 'solve puzzle' and it's exactly what I just did.
Am I missing something?
I hate to say it, because I love this game, and its predecessor, so much, but I really prefer the original format, where each difficulty has its own set of levels, and if you want to play the others in the harder difficulties, there's a setting for that in the form of the mix-n-match kind of mode. Otherwise though, nice. I like the added features on the left. ^_^
I really appreciate this kind of input, and it is the most effective way to decide on which ways the game should go. My idea was that people would play only once, with the challenge they thought suited them best. But this is not what happened, and many people got to the madness levels after already solving those pictures. It helped to reduce the game size, though. In the end, it was a bad call on my part, but I'll try to fix this in next iterations.
I love this game, though I find it a tad inconvenient to press Q, since I use WASD to move, I think it'd feel more comfortable if there was another option too, like Z or something, something I could hit with my other hand.
Either way though, still an amazing game, and that one little nitpick that probably only I have any sort of problem with doesn't detract from my rating at all. :)
