Your defense system should be tied to the body instead of the legs. There are plenty of ways to increase Shield and Armor (pickups, leveling up, body/legs), but only one way to increase speed. Since 90% of players will want speed, there may as well only be one power.
By defense system you mean the skills im assume. The idea behind it is to give varying play styles depending on the legs equipped.
From what i understand you wanted some other special with the first legs :P (or maybe all of them ? )
The defense concept i tried to approach in the body area. It is the only piece that gives you regeneration (shield / armor) and the most contributing factor in your total shield/armor.
When you beat the game, you can replay through on Legendary mode. All units available from start, enemies are tougher, and a higher cap on all upgrades.
I started up a game and went to check what traits I had. Right when I clicked, I sneezed, and then see it started with sneezing. This game is making a hypochondriac of me.
I was so happy to finally beat the level 5 boss and find out what becomes of the warp core, and you tell me I have to beat harder versions of all the bosses consecutively now? At least there should have been a new upgrade or weapon after beating the final boss. No one needs more money at this point, and projectile velocity means next to nothing. Other than this gripe, I enjoyed the game a good deal.
You can pay gold to level your characters by clicking their portrait that goes to the bottom bar right after selecting them for the level. I don't recall this being mentioned, so hopefully this will help some players. The first few levels are quite cheap, also.
Smaller units can be moved closer to big units than the other way around. You can showcase this by pulling your HQ out of a densely packed area and trying to put it back. Or you might not want to do that, unless you want to spend time moving everything around and rebuilding around the HQ again like I had to :(
The PATCH NOTES include the Girlfriend bits twice. I played this game practically all last night and loved it. What a nice surprise to see a patch since! I like that you get a bit more credit for shots on goal, as that was on of my only nitpicks from before.
Level 8 is not impossible. Level 15 is giving me a bit of trouble though. I beat the first 8 levels without much trouble, and I didn't build a single AA tower. I think some people are freaking out because they let some air units by. They don't harm your base, only your towers.
For level 6, just make sure you sell AA and any towers not covering the area inside the walls to your base to fortify against the ground units the carriers drop. The carriers do nothing but drop the units, so don't try and destroy them at all.
