Yeah the new version still freezes after killing the 2nd boss for me as well. It does this in Chrome and Firefox to me. Sorry I do not have set up for video for you. After killing the boss as he is blowing up he stops during the animation. It leaves him and Conquest frozen on the screen. If I use options to exit the battle and battle any area after without reloading it still has the dying boss and conquest(hero) plus a new conquest frozen on screen...this can be repeated with it adding one more conquest each time. Does not go away until I reload
Can't get past 2nd boss to see if it gets harder, but seems easy in act 2 with laser and thunder equipped. The weapons are cool for that area but may need damage levels tweaked on them at that act for a better challenge imo
Clearing the cache i Chrome let me go back and it worked to fix the issue so I could fight again, however, fighting the 2nd boss again produced the same error. So I can clear cache and fight other battles but 2nd boss is not finishable due to the bug it appears.
On second boss after I killed him the game froze as he was dying. When I exited battle, it let me go back to ship screen. When I went back to battle boss over again he was there already dead and the game froze again.
Ahh but that would be starting from scratch. What I was hoping for was that there was a way to save and later if I died go back to that point instead of having to start from the beginning again. Perhaps, I can suggest that this would be a sweet addition to the game later if you get a chance. It would be especially sweet of it had multiple save slots.
But overall I am loving the game. I just am not that good at it :D
I'm reworking the save system right now to include multiple save slots and thus restorable game points. My day job's been getting busy though;so, it may take a few days to have it ready.
Use the new game button in the main menu, to start over. Also, it does auto save after every mission, but the save game button in the main menu allows you save progress after doing things in your base menus.
yeah, anything that can kill you will show up in your reports menu in red, before it hits you. The only exception is if you are using a low tech engine to go somewhere very far away you could get hit by an asteroid shower before you return to get the message, but even a basic shield and def. turret can shrug off most asteroid showers, even without fighter support.
Love the game so far. Great depth! I absolutely love the mining/upgrade system. I do keep getting surprised by sudden death however. I will not see any glaring you are gonna die soon events in reports or anything. I just go to about my business when all the sudden it says my base is gone with whatever ending. Is this normal? Is there a set amount of days or am I missing something?
I usually do not like lane games but because of the upgrade and build your own bot aspects I found this one to be a blast. Some strategy was needed in selecting components for price versus uberness, which I felt made the game feel like it had a great balance to it. I wish my inventory was easier to look through. I also really wish there was a way to get the expansion here on Kongregate (even if it costed Kreds) rather than have to go off site. I really have no desire to join yet another game site/club but would have loved to play the expansion.
Simple but well done game. I like the unity graphics for it. The up down controls work okay, but I wish it had left and right to slow down or get a little speed burst (...or power ups of some sort?) and maybe some sort of combo reward system. I look forward to seeing what you do with the Unity engine once you get used to it and start making more complex games.
