Pros: Decent music, has charts for notes, can switch keys.
Cons: No really good key setup to switch to (five keys? Awkward.) Charts could be better (many times, you guys are just wrong- same note sequence should have same pattern and notes should be landing on or off beat for most of these songs). Solos should have the feel that you're playing lead, not rhythm or bass.
Most games also have the difficulty increase as the game progresses, too.
For Sun Dec 11th, try moving to the right just a smidge, and north allllllll the way close to the creeper generator. You should be moving up one level, and there should only be one square that you can move to. From there, expand to the NW of the map, turtle, and get a mortar covering the generator. You can win fairly easily with this strategy.
@ishmael- I mean, a good strategy for me:
1)pause the game as soon as it starts, and turn totem packets off
2) move my base to a better position
3) build collectors as much as I can, until I'm forced to buy blasters/mortars.
Mortars are better for "pools" of creeper, whereas blasters are more for expanding. I don't use drones, although they *are* decent- and SAMs are perfect for levels with spore (though I usually tough out the first spore wave and then rebuild, THEN buy SAMs).
There needs to be better explanations of what things are when I discover them, not when the tutorial decides to tell me. How do I use money? How do I get more food other than from quests and tournaments? Also, please don't tell me "I should be training my warriors, so I'm not going to let you do this quest" when I don't have enough food to.
Really, really needs a pause button for placing monsters. Also, is it even possible to complete the beginning quests the months you receive them? If it isn't, consider revising the order of what accomplishments are gotten when. Finally, grammar errors and bugs abound in this game.
More was removed than added. Cannot buy crafting materials. Major nerfs for the recipes that ARE creatable. (Cloth amulet is, for example, no longer worth it). Impossible to create other recipes, due to low base chance and finite materials (I have not seen a SINGLE vial in all my repeats of mystery dungeon, and I'm pretty sure you need that for every alchemy recipe) Weapons in general are nerfed. Impossible to max out character. This is honestly a step backward in game quality, rather than forward.
Really needs less short circuits, and why click mouse for magnet when you don't have left/right arrows or a/d doing anything during drop? really makes it annoying to play.
So, super-duper glitch that helps immensely during the grind-fest before unholy temple.
For spells, you need (at least) cold snap, but having sneak attack as well helps.
What to do: Go to any earlier level (Try it on an easy level first). For every enemy, do this-
1) Raise his treasure level to 100+
2) Get his HP down to where you can kill him with your weapon in one hit
3) Max your cold and poison mana
4) Match until he attacks, then attack with your weapon. It should be your first turn after he attacks
5) Use Cold Snap until Ice Mana is gone
6) Use Sneak Attack (and attack) until Poison mana is gone
7) Attack one final time with your weapon
If all of this goes well and you do this for each enemy in the level, you get about 1.5 pages of inventory items to sell in your shop for around 10,000G (give or take, based on how many enemies there were, how much you raised their treasure level to, and how much mana you have)
Rate up if this wall of text helped any!
This isn't an expansion. Expansions are things that build on what is already there. With no way to move save data over, this is just a *copy* of Protector IV with a few bonus quests.
I think the absolute best deck is 17 dwarven boon, 1 bag of crystals, 5 skeleton mage. Draw out your deck, and send all of your mages at once for an insta-win (about 1 minute, no damage to portal)
Good luck getting 17 of any card, though. And, Dwarven boon is legendary. :3
Instead, just replace the dwarven boons with as much gold as possible.
Even though structures for iron/crystals suck, bag of crystals is a only one waste of a draw. It's usable. And, though I haven't found any good iron monsters, Surplus Requirement does the same thing.
Not for hardcore players. It appears after a few fights.
