There's a handicap, i.e your opponents are faster when they are behind than when they are ahead. Can be useful if you need 15-20 seconds for some reason.
"Only missing MAKE PERFECT START Achievement... What do I have to do??"
Hit the acceleration right after the lights go out. You can use R to restart quickly if you don't get it right. You'll see the achievement pop up, but remember you have to finish the race if you want to keep it.
I enjoyed this game a lot but the way highscores work is frustrating. Speed traps count for most of your score, but unless you do better than your previous highest speed you get nothing. So if you get a very good speed you need to make sure you get all the corner posts and a decent fastest lap because you're not going to improve your score on that track anymore.
I wish there was a highscore that was just the sum of your fastest laps.
Could have sweared it felt different.
Anyway, why isn't my highscore showing up on the all-time list? It shows under this week's list and even on the all-time multiplies list (I'm pretty sure that's the only time I reached a x26 multiplier).
Flippfly, have you changed how the plane handles recently? It feels smoother and more responsive. There's also seems to be slightly more pickups now than there used to be.
Woohoo, finally hit 1 million. Just jumping any time I couldn't see a clear line helped so much. There's plenty of opportunities to pick up boosts in the open section, or when you're in the air anyway. No need to take fancy lines at higher speeds.
FLIPPFLY, have you tracked down the invisible object bug? I thought it was fixed but then I bumped into it (literally) a few times a couple of days ago.
BTW, I didn't think the game got tougher at all. Maybe the terrain is a little more challenging but there seem to be more tris and more pickups which more than makes up for it.
I thought my runner would just go for the Finnish border after winning the last race. Just to show those capitalists the superior athletic power of the socialist worker.
If you were thinking anything else please return your party membership card and apply for reeducation.
To anyone who's complaining about the game is too easy: remember that you can submit your times. You haven't beaten the game until you have the best time on all ten standard tracks. Or at least beaten SW's time on at least one track.
Took me some time to realize that miners are upgradable. It's +100 (~220%) for a 150% increase in mining speed but level 2 miners use the same amount of energy as the original ones.
"Nagaric- Do you honestly lack the brain to think where people would want to place their dots? Obviously, they want to place it where they're the most concentrated, or where they can steal the most from others in the first round. - And the first round IS mostly luck, although you can pick a nice spot where few people will place markers and you won't get enough for people to want to steal from you. The second round is where skill comes in."
You've just posted my secret first round strategy for four player games.
Here are a few tips for round two: if you're fighting for first place against someone you should often try to steal from them. Duh.
Also "defending" rarely makes sense, try to pick up new points.
I've often seen 2 or 3 people all go for the second best spot and everyone avoiding the best one.
You can often play it safe by placing your marker just a bit closer to the wall than you orginally wanted.
KEEP YOUR LITTLE BROTHER AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD!!!
Fun little game, don't know why I got only 5/20. Hope I can still be a mod so I can ban my little brother?
Nope, hasn't changed! Glad it's more responsive though :)
