@sysy: How would you suggest to do tower hotkeys? The tower locations are always changing around so it may be confusing to use 1-0 or any variation of that row. The only thought we have had is using certain letters for certain scripts. As you don't really need to place towers or upgrades all that quickly in most cases, scripts would likely be the only things to get these so as to not overload the user with random letter hotkeys.
@Fig_Hunter: They are called AIs not because they truly are AIs, but because those outside the system think they are AIs. There are several times that they talk about what those outside the system think of the...constructs for lack of a better word at the moment. Saying they are violent and need to be shut down and such. The human population will title anything that they think they understand, even if that is not truly what the case is.
@Fig_Hunter: I don't want to spoil any story for anyone so I won't say too much, but you should have easily picked up by level 19 that the "robots" or AIs as they were called were all not origionally AIs. That means that they are still sentient in all regards.
@Kbalz: It is impossible for there to ever be three of any one color on any one tower. This was done intentionally. It is not a problem with the color randomization, but to encourage diversification.
@ffreak3: Could you please elaborate on what you mean by woefully under-developed? Do you mean it wasn't long enough? Was it not balanced in terms of units? Where there not enough towers? Was there too much memory? Any info helps towards creating a better game.
For anyone who can no longer select levels upon reloading, what internet browser are you using? Do all levels not allow you access or just ones you have not played yet? Any info would help to solve this issue. Thank you.
@shocman: Adding a hard mode requires significantly more time as it needs to be balanced. An easy mode just has to be very easy. That having been said, in the likely case of a sequel, we will definitely have a hard mode.
@hockey90: I would dare say that the scanner tower is one of the best. I personally make it a point to use it in every single level. Sure it is used to see invisibles, but the speed it fires and the enemy debuff it applies makes it one of the best for several strategies.
@Draconic74: If you look at the damage that pops up from the tracer, you will see that it always does one damage. Adding the damage increase does not increase the damage per hit, rather the rate at which the ones come up. Just think of it as a hotter laser, it does not cut a wider area, rather it cuts at a faster rate. There is no bug there...but perhaps there should be some wording to clear that up.
@SirMustapha: How is adding upgrades on to the towers not innovative? No other game has done it before. This method removes the "One ultimate tower" strategy which makes so many TD boring. Gemcraft was a bad concept because it was random which gems you got. The hue of gems meant nothing to the player. Storyline? 95% of games don't have a purpose built into the storyline other than entertainment. That is what games are for however, entertainment. Did knowing what the halo was in Halo do anything to the fact that you killed the enemies? Did knowing that Peach has been kidnapped influence how you run through a mario level? Absolutely not. The tower defense genre is not stale, not when you compare it to other genres out there. Hunt and pecks are years older, shooter games are decades older, rpgs are decades older, adventure games are decades older. Your comment is downvoted, not because people don't want to see opinions, but because your opinion has holes in every point.
@Ace122095: Is there any other information you can give to the developer other than you closed your browser and it deleted your save game? I have never seen this happen. Any other details you can provide would help immensely. (which browser you use, did you close it or did it crash on you, did you have multiple instances of the game open? any other info)
@coolkid10124: You cannot see the invisible units unless you place a scanner tower down. If you ever have a question in a level, just read the level tip at the start of the level.
I must say, these games are all too short. Some things that would make it better:
Do not force me to watch my character walk across the room or up stairs every time I go back. Give me options. Every hunt and peck game I have ever played forces me to do things by the way of the creator, but if the player had some choice in how they wanted to enjoy the game, it would be unquantifiably better.
This game delivers. Not only on what is promised by the comments, but so much more. Being able to customize your towers instead of just clicking "upgrade" is so refreshing. The enemies all have unique abilities which requires the player to actually put some thought into which towers to build instead of mass producing the "best" tower. It has been a long time since I was able to say that a game actually respected me as someone who can think, rather than being forced to do one thing over and over.
wayyyy too slow paced, takes too long to kill enemies, takes too long to level up in levels (gain too much exp out of level) should be other way around. Waves take way too long and there are too many waves.
