@Omnifex I watched your video, and it was funny. You didn't care about gold on your first run. and you failed to buy Hydra on second run. But you could win. If you raided last scouted dungeon (right-side route) and get the scroll of shrink, you could beat stage 50. PPL use scrolls to beat last bosses. Last stage is always strong! (but there's still random chance to get year 51, and year 51 is usually stronger than year 50! random curses!)
@lost800 with this strategy, i beat hard mode with American, Englishmen, Greek, Russian, Japanese, Mongol, Celt, Roman, Byzantine and acquired Player Rank 9 (Unicorn). (I need to study more for Chinese French Spanish).
3 militiaman vs 2 militaman = gamble. 4 militiaman vs 2 militiaman = almost win. 1swordman + 1militiaman vs 1 swordman = almost win. 1 sworsman + 3 militiaman vs 1 swordman + 1militiaman = always win. vs 4+ swordman = it's always gamble, unless you have many knights or 1minotaur, but it's impossible to get this early. but sometimes computer doesn't attack with this many swordsman, or if you have 15+ peasants, 1~2 loss is okay.
@lost800 HARD MODE. try this: 4 swordsman. 10 peasants. 3 knights. 20 peasants. 1 church. 2 minotaurs. (year 25) 40 peasants. 3 church. 1 monastry. 1 cathedral. 1~2 lumber mill. (year 30) no more economy is needed. just buy army with all your money. good luck! (mod: u need some modification for religions. Exorcism:dont buy minotaur. buy more knights instead. Chicken:buy 52+ peasants on year 25 ~ year 30 period. Equality Church~The community: try to buy as many minotaurs as possible. Legends of the miners. get church early and receive 500 gold. Forest's fury. tigers are fun.) have fun!
I played over 100 games, and found out early economic races are easier than other races. Russian, American, Roman, Mongol, Celt is early economy races. They're all good on Hard mode.
Pretty much all future content will be tied to Employees and will definitely be more expensive than current upgrades, so look forward to it!
