When I saw that there was an 'energy' system in place, I immediately scrolled down to type this comment. Furthermore, in around 5 seconds I will click the X button at the top right of my screen.
Technically it doesn't produce more lag with higher replay speeds - the simulation engine simple ignores the higher speed if it's not able to simulate at that speed. So setting it to 0.5, 1, 5, 50 or 500 is more of a wish than an actual command, and the simulation engine will do the best it can on the computer it's running on :) So we could put in 1000 for that matter, but you would need a pretty insane computer to run at that speed in anything but a completely empty game.
