I like this game a lot. Way more than most of the the other games I've played recently. I think the sticking of the pixels when they encounter another enemy group is good. It's different and forces you to plan and flank much earlier and wider - much more challenging.
My only negative critique of this game is that the arrows for the movement of the base and of the pixels looks exactly the same. I was moving my base instead of my pixels much more often than I should have been purely because there was no way of telling.
5/5
It's a geometry wars clone and there are far to many around of those. However the game is quite original in is emotion and humour and actually has a storyline which these games can't usually shoe-horn in. The physics and graphics are nicely done and smooth however the pseudo-random generation of enemy velocities and start positions does force the player to die a few times. In summary, a good game, well put together and with good amount of emotion relative to it's unoriginal concept. 4/5
I like this game but there are a few things I'd like to change. There aren't many sound effects which would have made the game more inviting or fun. Also the physics seems to be off on the spring boards. If you land on it with a slow velocity you sometimes exit with a high vertical velocity and there doesn't seem to be much damping on the acceleration either. By only landing on a horizontal board I was able to bounce (on a single bounce) off the top of the map into white space. Not only was this easy to do but it makes the game look very untidy. Fairly good game though if boring and untidy in places 3/5.
Nice game but too easy. Liked the idea of moving the light blocks around yourself to see what's what. However this involves a little too much trial and error. The player shouldn't be forced to replay the level simply because of an arbitrary choice of direction in which to push the block in. In addition on the mirrored player bot level (the one with the stars in the green alcove) it was very hard to tell if the object in the corner of the green alcove was a turret or not.
I like the concept of this game but I don't find it especially fun to play. You can get through most levels without much skill or thought which doesn't make you've achieved much. Not bad but not very fun 3/5.
Just started playing. There's a glitch on level 5. If you drop down the middle of the level onto the platform at the bottom and land just right of centre your character warps to the side of the screen and destroys himself.
I love the game very much but i also agree with elvierde that the popping up bonuses cover too much of the screen for too long a time. Apart from that I can't fault it. 4/5
I liked the game a lot but it's a little unfair in the surprises part. I understand you need to have some sort of random element in this to liven it up but I think you could have thought of something a little more intuitive - or at least with more things likely to happen. I got 4 bomb rains in a row every time I wanted to pass my best. I also don't understand the reasoning behind the upgrade system. It seems to be in the game for it's own sake. It certainly doesn't have a huge outward effect on game flow or game play. I think instead of money, some sort of power-up would have been more enjoyable. That all being said, it's a lovely game and very well stylised. 3/5
I liked the art, cinematic stuff, level design and the map. It was very enjoyable but there are just too many of these kinds of game right now for me to try to finish it. Love it though so 4/5
Not bad at all - really quite enjoyable playing a hard game for a change. Although it's not as hard as some people are commenting. I really enjoyed seeing all the different space ships and their ways of attacking you.. Damn those Blue ships XD
