Even with a relaxation score of 400, and half a dozen beautiful locales to relax in, I still spend more time resting than anything else! So frustrating that my character is so lazy!
Really enjoyed this game, short as it was. Why can't we have more of these, instead of a constant barrage of 'cookie cutter fantasy game with boobs and click here to buy more astral crystal diamond mana stones to get the best equipment!'?
Rrrrrrgh! Got perfect on all levels before Atropos. Cannot beat Atropos! Been trying for an hour and a half, 7.5 million points in the bank and all upgrades purchased. Ragequit!
That was cute, and the music was good. But it was way too short. Took me what, ten minutes? Most levels I finished first try without injury?
It felt like the tutorial levels to a much more complicated game.
I have tried to 'pounce' through the final door three times and no success. Every time I hit it flat, then get smashed. Is this even possible?
(Attempts are made more difficult because, of course, I have to replay the whole thing to try again.)
This is sublime. I don't think I've ever seen a game concept pulled off with this level of perfection. Perhaps the first game and only game on here that legitimately deserves a 6/5.
A gorgeous game, crippled by the random rewards system and the inability to save, replay levels, or heal between levels.
I really liked how the sprite for each unit changed when they leveled up, and that I could change a unit's facing after he had been placed.
Fighting to tell where I can put units and where I can't behind the scenery, while the clock ticked away, was not fun though.
Making it so that the ability to receive extra gold or badges between levels was completely random hurt the game also, though it would not have been nearly as much of a problem if earlier levels were replayable. As it is, good or bad luck at the slots is a larger determinator of whether or not the game will be finishable AT ALL in a single playthrough. Not good for a strategy game.
So, 3/5 - excellent concept, excellent graphics, flawed implementation.
