While I had no issues with controls or lag, the game is waay too grind-y. Instead of a challenge for players, there's just a system of grinding for coins, upgrading something, and repeating. Even something like the lack of ability to vary your jump height will make you grind harder for yet another upgrade.
Kong! Please stop giving the Papa's games BOTD - the games are ad-riddled, cookie-cutters of themselves with a slightly different theme each time. We don't like these games, don't make us play them! (And imaresan, you're the best - I got to avoid this game today thanks to you!)
I'm not quite sure what all the fuss is about the wall climbing/jumping, I see no issues. Decent challenge, but not too hard, blasted through it in a about half an hour. Game was fantastic, glad this finally made it to Kong!
Fun game, aforementioned bugs thankfully don't break the game, but when I save and come back later my weapons are rearranged and/or deleted. Still great game, 4/5 even with bugs!
The random factor makes some of these levels simple luck, and keyboard functionality would make this game way more accessible. 2/5 - has the potential for immense improvement, but this game was just not fun.
The more recent Protector games are pretty cool, and this one is perfect to see as an example of where the series came from. That being said, there's no way I'm going to subject myself to this level of pain for long enough to get the badge of the day. This game was not such a good start to a decent series.
Achievement for defeating 25 enemies does not work correctly. When I beat 46 enemies (after completing level 4), I was counted as having 32 enemies killed. After beating level 3, the game counted my kills as thirty-something, but the achievement counter showed 24. Is this badge meant to mean enemies that are capable of defending themselves - i.e., have guns?
In order to earn the "Too Cool For Light" badge, play through the first level, equip the sunglasses, then go into the trophy room and reset the game. You'll still be wearing the glasses. Beat the game, get the badge. Hope this helps!
Excellent game, and the frequent updates just make it that much better! If it were possible, I would love to be able to mouse over the titles of monsters in the scrolling text and be able to see what effects the title had even after the monster was passed.
