Back row: Line of blasters (good enough for Easy)
Next row: Line of freezers (good enough for Medium)
After that: as many lines of Greniders as you want (at least two. Save last two rows for...)
First two rows: Orbital Mines.
This makes for a fortress that even Obama can't break into!
Also: Your cash carries over to the next level. I couldn't figure out why Earth was so hard and why I was starting with only a couple hundred credits. MUCH easier with 10k in the bank!
This used to be such a good game. But in recent months, everything has become about the Shiney. It's almost impossible to play anymore without a major monetary investment.
Can't grab the grenade on the top of the watchtower with the two rifle-armed guys on the other side. All I can do is lie there and enjoy the music. Fail.
This is so close to being a good game.
1) There is nothing to do while in battle. Giving us control of ships guns while the fighters scramble around would be great.
2) There is no details on what the various upgrades do. Ship armor and bay capacity is pretty easy to figure out. But what about Bay Efficiency? I'm assuming that it reduces the time between launches.
3) The distribution of difficulty levels is pretty random. First couple of planets are in the teens. Then suddenly you defend your planet from some difficulty 120 attacker with 200 ships and 10k life...
Your art director needs to be kicked to the curb. Space mini-skirts, leaders of civilizations wearing belly shirts. In space you can only wear stripper-heels.
And the male models are no better. Roid-ripped He-men in power armor.
It's bad when the only reasonable character design are the bunny rabbits.
