man, either im doing a bad strategy of gaining up on one of their bots and having an equal amount of bots, or this game requires too much grinding. if you lose a mission you may not have enough money to do the next lower one. good idea for a game, and i love the customization options. 3.75/5.
"you've just completed the tutorial. you know how to play. but do you have what it takes to win?" really reassures you that the past 2 minutes have been a productive few and that now you will not flop as you steer a ship.
there should be a way to hire mobsters, because it seems like with 50 guys you cant both attack and defend against a rival. also, what does bribing rivals do, i bribed the calzeretti down to 0% and they still attacked me. is there a secret "declared war +100% animosity" somewhere so you cant conquer an area, then bribe them to prevent attacks?
citizen: sir, an evil mastermind just stole the secret to destroying the entire world. president: oh my gosh, lets send a few tanks and hope they destroy the base, lets not worry the entire air force and marines about their potentially doomed fate.
good game, would love it if we saw net metal gain. instead of +4 planes and +4100 metal, it should show +4 planes +100 metal, because its hard to see if you need more/less collectors.
This game is great, although when the AI doesn't use push 5 when your on the edge, or when he damages your gears and weapons and picks what your mode is weak to it gets less fun knowing how bad your opponent is.
the warlords games are great, so glad they switched back to an "overall" upgrade system instead of a "per-unit" system. i also really like the new lane system. the only problem about this game is that they are so long, i played this game for two and a half hours to beat the campaign once, and i was only defending four times. i dont know how people have time to beat the game seven times to unlock all the features
we were engineers, not soldiers. fights an entire day, shooting 100+ times and never misses. i want this guy in my army. if XCOM had these guys, those sectoids would be toast.
a good strategy i've found in the late game to take out the emmiters is to stockpile 3-7 blasters, then move all of them to the emmiter, if its shallow enough you should be able to clear the area, and if you can build collectors, relays, etc, to it before your blasters run out of ammo, you can gain significant ground quickly.
There should be listed explictly what bonuses each tower gets. for example, is a guardian tower a ranger, with a +15% range bonus (if upgraded) or does it get a +15% damage bonus for being a mage tower? the confusion adds more the later you go, as more factions appear.
good game, except for some skills are mislabeled. like the 5% more health regeneration and the 5% more energy regeneration. they both provide .5 more per second per level, with the base being .5 and 1.0 i think. this makes both skills more than ten times better.
