Pretty much what everybody else has said, I can't even get past the 2 bandits together because it won't register my space bar =(
This is sad, because I really like the concept and the humor
Everybody's pretty much hit it up, give money a use.. if nothing else an ammo shop and a way to upgrade the default pistol into something that doesn't suck would be nice.
To beat the baron, drain his focus as psychological (or whatever it is). I specced Sonny to specialize in the 2 draining moves and once it's drained he hurts himself for ~10k damage or so.
I like the game and the dynamics, but the thing that really annoys me is that if you have a slight timing error your entire level is effed... like on level 11
The game's a little imbalanced at the beginning, when the opponent can send out 30+ units and you're limited to 10 plus your hero. Should prolly put a cap on the amount of units the enemy can put out and make it scale as the game progresses.
Having the random search patterns makes this a little more difficult than it should be. Having your target randomly running around is agitating, because you can't plan out a time to kill the target when guards can't see him. Lastly, being able to kill or incapacitate guards would be nice, just make it so 3 shots kills you and then you can't just run up and hit them in the face repeatedly.
Also - enchanting your bows should increase damage as well, your arrows can have cool abilities to make them worthwhile. Ice can slow them down, fire can apply a damage over time and speed them up slightly, lightning can chain to multiple enemies or stun. An armor piercing arrow would be cool too, something that passes through multiple enemies
4.5/5
Only a few tweaks to make this a better game -
1: Fix money drops, they should happen more frequently, drop more, or stay on the screen till you pick them up.
2: Health potions should refill a static 10, even if you've upgraded your health. They also shouldn't get more expensive as the levels go
3: Critters shouldn't spawn in the middle of the screen. I've been hit numerous times because of things I can't predict.
4: Scaling is difficult, I'm spending more cash on arrows to kill things than I'm gaining back, when you pump like 20 arrows into something it gets a little retarded.
Game has no purpose and no direction. I like how it looks and everything, but it's got nothing to keep me involved after killing the first couple monsters.
