Do upgrades (in screen) on weapons do anything? I went from level 7 to level 10 and the range never increased (don't know about speed or power) nor could I upgrade it any further. The gatling gun went 100->200->400 so a next upgrade would logically be 800. But I had 2300 money and still I couldn't buy it. This game needs stats, not "medium... long... short". Further more, I upgraded my gun (in game), and the range didn't change, but now I have medium range instead of short? How can I trust the other "stats"? I need numbers to look at.
The most annoying things IMO, were: tanks could get flipped over and rendered useless, and this mostly happened to me. Tanks fired randomly it seemed, almost none of my bullets from my most accurate tanks ever hit. The machine gunners were better just because of the spread and sheer number of bullets. The tanks need a better "go home" system. Waiting for my tank to get to 3 or 4 health, and hoping it makes it home on time isn't that great. Controlling the tanks are difficult and, in a group, almost impossible to control one. Not to mention the factories always got in the way of this also. But these didn't make the game un-enjoyable. It could have been really great, though. 4/5
A decent DD game. I have to basically agree with Illucoran on all his points. I somewhat enjoyed the game and its concept, but most enjoyment is in the details, and the details are significantly and unfortunately... lacking. Locked content, irreversibility, tiny units, and a quite generic and unoriginal design. 3/5
Not really any strategy to it once your weapon is upgraded. There also didn't seem to be any "middle ground". E.G. I couldn't really buy any upgrades in the beginning, but once I bought a few I was able to buy a complete upgrade set just about every level. The enemies also went from pathetic to "Holy crap my planet is going to die!" The first mage fired one ball that did one damage. Its upgraded form fired two doing five damage each. Was fun, but really unbalanced and devoid of strategy.
The "This could be dangerous" Level. It's impossible. The AI just keeps attacking me. There's no way I can fight back when they ally each other like that.
It just worked for me yesterday ... ='( The screen is like...in really low detain and there's a huge cut-out of the title screen that won't go away. *Rages 1/5* =P Nah, it's a great game. 5/5
@Lucicane: 450 isn't that high of a level. Also, buying attack power is crucial because it gets multiplied to your weapon power for your total attack. Defense balances out the one-hit pwns...basically the golden gun isn't a silver bullet.
