Much better balanced and more stuff to do then the first game. Only complaint may be that it's way too easy to get money in this version since resting no longer costs cash. Also: Tier 5 result, Royal Associate.
Everyone who uses this engine seems to feel it's needed to put in physics puzzles even if the game they make would not be suited to a physics engine. This is one of those games. The concept itself, however, is pretty well-executed. There needs to be more enemies then slanted floors and pools of goo in the next iteration though.
Got to day 35. Not as impossible as it sounds. Using a duelist with nth levels of accuracy, a level 2 accuracy mod, and a laser pistol. It melts tanks.
Also, the Dr. Holiday Perk is an excellent reason why you should give your defender the shotgun. Sheriffs like to grab it at random for no good reason.
This time the "special guest annoying puzzle" is a towers of hanoi thing. Thankfully there are only three stacks to deal with or I would of been really pissed off.
Epic battle fantasy with all my concerns addressed AND a minigame where a cute cat murders skeletons for spending money?
You sir, are awesome. The game may be a little too impossible if you don't grab all the "counterattack" type skills, though, since many enemies leave you VERY little room to get attacks in edgewise.
This game makes use of the same foolishness the other games did: enemy castle responds to attack by generating a ton of units all at the same time, which then zerg you.
Oddly enough, the hardest battles are the first one and the last one - all the others are generally easy. For those having trouble - choose orange as your player, you start with the comet card and you are adjacent to two enemies which do not use archers. Use your comets on enemy spellcasters.
As for the last battle, I can't do it with all my cards at level 5 - I assume there must be an element of luck involved in getting the right cards or I'm damaging the castle too fast when I get there.
The main issue with this game is it's too random. All of the dodge games I've played (and liked) got progressively faster. This one, however, does not seem to have much of a curve to it. Also, the spawning of pills seems totally random and sometimes unfair in that there have been deaths where I died to the game simply not creating enough pills to keep me alive. In the end, it seems like getting any large number of points is more a thing of luck in the placement of falling dice then anything.
This is yet another one of those games where too much time went into the graphics and not enough into the actual gameplay. The character moves with perfectly correct physics - which is why his movement is absolutely impossible to control.
Know what would be great? Tournaments with spectators allowed. That said, this is a game for a thinking man's kongregate.
So of course knowing my other comments I love it to death.
