Basically, use the traps which cost only 30 but cover two spaces, as blockades and narrow the area the pirates can go through to 2 spaces. The put hot coals there - and don't forget to trigger them. Right now in my game the pirates can only travel through a tunnel thing, and it it looks like this:

That's the tunnel which is the only way the pirates can go. The +'s are the triggers, rigged to trigger the x's which are the hot coals. I have 6 hot coals now, all laid out like how I showed. I can send three waves at once and still not a single pirate will escape. At the start, 2 pirates made it through. That's all that have made it through so far.

That's 300 To block most of the empty area.
Then make sure you have hot coals in the one area where the pirates can go through, and, of course make the triggers. You WILL miss a few pirates at the start - but with the money you get from killing the other pirates, continue building and eventually you'll be pretty safe. Just remember to keep expanding with the money you get - I just left the game by itself while typing this comment and now I'm down to 4 lives. Damn. And yay, I died! >.< I died - with 3100 or so Gold... Wtf.
Excelent idea. I don't know what all the fuss is about, it's really easy to understand. I feel a bit tired right now though, so I can't be assed to think to get through the levels, but the idea is great and I think I'll enjoy it when I'm awake properly. The way the atoms interact was still really easy to understand though - I have absolutely no idea why you guys have such a hard time 'figuring' it out.

Great game, but the game's picture doesn't do it any justice. I didn't play it all these months because it looked fail, from the picture. I only played it now because I was bored and noticed that it's been in the top rated for a while now, so I thought I might as well play it. Oh, and the Zombie MJ was a nice touch.
