Bug-- On hte second snow map, I got to wave 5 (the fast snakes), and had 4 traps set up on the last horizontal line before the base: Poison, Ice, Poison, Ice. 2 groups of 3 got through towers and group 1 hit the first 2 traps and died while frozen. The second group were still alive after hitting the last two traps. when they turned to round the final corner they turned invisible (although hp bars were still displayed). THey remain frozen there, and I am unable to complete the level.
Anyone who claims this game is hard isn't playing it right. buy a new elevator whenever they become available, put a chain gun, rocket, laser on every level, keep all evelators as even with each other in upgrades as possible, put your man on a floor with any weaker upgrades, or place them on a floor that isn't dealing with many creeps. It ISN'T hard.
ditch the minions that summon more minions in favor of some other kind of challenging game mechanic. They can summon entirely too much clutter and it just slows down the game.
Nice game, reminds me a LOT of FFT and the old shining forces games for the genesis. My only problem is that the interface seems as if it were designed for a console platform. For a web game I'd go for something more intuitive than all those console-geared menus.
Neoenigma is right...this is pretty much a toned-down internet version of Evil Genius (which was an incredibly fun game). I like the aesthetic, and it's fun, albeit not as involved as Evil Genius...but then it's a web game so I wouldn't expect that. All in all, an excellent effort.
Well done. I love the aesthetic. The only thing I would suggest is a mute button, or at least a change in the music as you enter the atmospheres of different planets, as the music as is does get tiring after a while.
