i find that the "Special" units availible for survival aren't exactly "useful"sure they may be cool(icons would be nice though fer the characters).but your honestly better off with the standard UEN troopers, either that or save money for unlocking new troops or guns(that's what i usually do).
people who cast lots of spells should get necromancers(we always need more mana).as they are pretty good and grant you mana per attack(it's MUCH quicker then waiting for it).

i find the idea of dressing up our reinforcements cute, but it also woulda been nice to add a additional special tower for each tier, for example: Sylvan Archers, Artic Gladiators, Gattling Cannon(dwarves are crazy enough to create a rapid-fire cannon!), and Archmages(or something cooler like, Dark Mages Or Summoners).
