I really enjoy this game, and gave it 5 stars in the hope of badges in the future, and having come back after about a year and a half away, most of the updates in that time have been welcomed. I do have a few areas that still need improvement:
-on the building upgrade screens, show what the building will look like for the next upgrade. Production building do it currently, but no other buildings have this feature.
-include a button on screens showing modules giving quick access to the inventory screen. Having to jump 4 screens to combine modules is a bit much.
-On the League attack screen, there needs to be a way to see the league tiers and what rewards are available at each tier.
-a center point of reference on the base building screen would be appreciated.
Thanks for all of the work that your team puts into this game. I'm glad I came back to give it another try.
*** Spoilers ***
For the badges: Love for others - change into a werewolf to scare the man to the right of the pub into running to the woman.
Love for self - get arrested (destroy random property and turn into a were at the lookout tower to get cops for the return journey. Turn into a were near a cop). Then turn into a were in jail.
Return to source - turn into a were when you get robbed to keep your money.
edit: 3 ninja and a cat is better. For the Hard badge, focus on candy upgrade first, as it adds to your score. By the time you get to wave 18, you will need to have earned your 30k points, or be luckier than me.
Enjoyable progression of each level. As stated previously, Ninja are the way to go. Using 4 Ninja, I beat the game on my third run. The ability to shoot behind you is critical for the last boss. I would also recommend upgrading candy as soon as possible. I had all stats maxed before the final two waves, making them fairly easy. The upgrades are minor, but still noticeable. Candy seems to improve the type of candy dropped as well as the frequency.
I was just enjoying the previous two Burrito Bison games and thought I would continue the journey with this one only to find a grind fest money grab of a title. What a sad ending to an enjoyable franchise.
Finally a BotD that isn't 5+ years old!!! Oh wait, player data not loading, well so much for BotD. I guess I'll stop complaining about the REALLY old BotDs now, at least those games work.
Fun game, however after failing to get the Inception medal so many times, I'm off to play Mushroom Madness to kill forest animals and watch mushrooms be eaten.
Great game idea. It really reminds me of some of the old RPGs that I loved growing up. I have a few thoughts for your consideration. After finishing a quest, I can only access quest, daily mission, news and store interfaces. All others are inactive until I change areas, or talk to a merchant. Another item that would be very nice, is a message letting you know what level of opponents are in an area before you step into it and get mauled on your first step. (I stepped around a fence and got fatally molested by a Quick Vulture when I was only level 4.) Another nice feature would be if you fail to flee three times in a row, allow for an automatic escape, maybe including the statement, "The 'insert monster name here' grows tired of mauling you and lets you go."
One of the best games I have played in a LONG time. From the story to the graphics to the puzzles, you have created a special gaming experience. I have added this game to my favorites list, as I know I will come back to enjoy the journey again.
Four legged walking eyeballs are 'zombies'? I know this was from 2009, but we still had words like Mutant, Alien, Demon, etc. that would have better fit the graphic.
This game proves that it doesn't take amazing graphics to make a game that can really pull on your emotions. Very well done, from the music to the story.
For those seeking easy wins, unlock the dogs with your starting cash, then upgrade their two ally heal abilities, bonus for other dogs in group, and melee counter. Tested in 30 straight matches with 0 losses.
Well, you asked for suggestions for a second stage, my idea would be a desert, with crevasses that you can only get out of from the ends, and possibly a few other exit points in longer runs, but you can enter them from any location. The power generators, or whatever you want to name the main targes will be visible from the start, however getting in range will require navigating the maze of crevasses.
Nice graphics, and an interesting start to a story line. The shuttle sequence would be nice if there was verticle control as well, with going to high alerting the enemy and creating additional mobs, or possibly failing the mission. The enemy AI needs a lot of work, as they are far too easy to avoid. Also the story stated limited ammo, but there is no ammo counter, and it seems to be limitless. Also, since you seem to be lobbing artillery, an aim assist would be appreciated, possibly as a gun upgrade. Possibly having two types of munitions would be good as well, going with the AR-15 gun design you chose, possibly a grenade launcher for stuctures/splash damage, and a more accurate, line of sight, shot for hostile mobs, possibly a pulse laser? Just my two bits.
Thanks for the excellent suggestions. I especially like the idea of a maze of crevasses. It would allow the creatures to drop in from above for an attack or come around a corner.
PTW system is broken when a lvl 3 can shell out cash to upgrade a card that a lvl 16 FTP player can't touch, not that I won't contribute to a game later on, but not if it's like this.
Our official position: Evilibrium is not a Pay-To-Win game. And will never be. There's really a lot depends on one's luck, F2P or not. A baby player can drop an EP creature from the daily free chest, and one can have some really bad bad luck with a premium chest.
This game shouldn't even be posted to newgrounds, please keep your crap off Kong. That being said, on to the bugs:
Using Firefox, jump height when pressing space is random, occassionally the trump head will jump forward of it's location, and when that happens, it no longer accepts input causing a touch down and end to the game. didn't really test much past that, as this game is not interesting, not new, and imo, not worth playing.
Thanks for your comments, I see some good points and passed them to the game designers to decide if they can take them into work.
