Lost save file and DID NOT clear cache or manually delete. =/ Well that sucks. Guess I can change what I wanted to now, but still really sucks. You are lucky you make a hell of a great game!!!
Tips Cont. 3) It should be obvious but explore every map and fight every mob you come across. This maximizes chances for chests and makes leveling much quicker if you are constantly getting SP.
4) Steal from at least 1 mob every fight. If you are much faster steal multiple times from the same mob until it says NOTHING TO STEAL. This is when they are empty, if it says STEAL FAILED there is still more to get. Stun can work wonders for this, allowing 4-5+ steals before they return depending on speed/equips.
5) After you beat the game RETURN TO THE VERY FIRST MAP. The entire game get's one huge boost, making the people you were just fighting (and beating with ease) nearly impossible. Welcome to the grindfest, which admittedly is MUCH better than most other games as it adds more quests and harder enemies.
Tips. 1). 3 damage dealers. Class for damage Thief/Ele hybrids until you unlock Barrage/Shockwave (Barrage for single target, Shock for groups) then go back. Ele damage FAR outshines physical damage even with fewer points so punch up the MAG stat.
2) 1 Buffer/healer. This is really the only weird one as you want a Heal all/Cure all/Revive but also buffs, so rock Spirit up all, Attack up all. Mix in some Ele or any class with high magic nodes (6+).
Also one thing that would be awesome to implement would be a way to get back some of the Scrap I put into a weapon, either from selling or maybe a degrade function, or even an inherit function, where you can put some (40-50%) of the levels from one weapon onto another. This way I can still upgrade weapons while farming mats for an upgrade.
Have noticed a minor bug. When you are in battle and you click the SKILLS tab, if you then Exit out to say, charge for your limit, you will not be able to CLICK on either the charge icon OR the item icon. After a little bit of frustration I figured out you can still hit the corresponding NUMBER key and it will work. Like I said a minor bug.
Mostly a decent game. Classes are OK but the Llama fights are extremely annoying. I had a maxed out llama by the 3rd area, and still lost 4 fights in area 5. Really? so my llama with max speed, 2800 health, and max damage just SITS there and takes a beating from a llama with 1600 health? Come on now. Everything else seems decently thought out but this seems like someone thought it would be funny but you only had about an hour to code it. 3.75/5
Happy to know you liked the game, the llama fights are a side minigame so if you dont like it you can skip it entirely, notice that llama fights relly on luck you could try to win the llama fights with almost no upgrades and eventually you will win the llama battles, of course if you think that because your llama is fully upgraded then you will win all the fight, I understand your frustration, Hope you give the game a second chance, by the way both llamas have the exactrly same IA the only diference are stats, but dont forget you can have bad luck, and even against the odds you can loose. :(
Ok. Trying to figure out why I can pop 80,000!!!! Ballons and barely get 6k blops This seems a bit on the insane side. This would mean that I get 1 blop for every 13(ish) I collect. This is a bit under the "red is 3x blue" that you stated. Unless you need 4 red blops to get 1 "real blop" THis is extremely frustrating when I am grinding and grinding and and getting a fraction of what is stated by the developers. Also the insanity of your prices is laughable.
Anyone complaining about Shielded Balloons needs to tech up. Max tech on FF Phasing gives increased damage every 7 shots to ALL weapons.
Overall I give this 3.5/5 round down to 3/5. The game is enjoyable but seriously the grind is ridiculous. Blue should be like 1/2 of red not 1/3, I have over 6m pops and have 3 techs max. Albeit my first day this is crazy!!!! SO I am assuming there are people with millions more that are still grinding.
Main issue I have is limitations on power-ups. Seriously, ALL powerups should be able to hit ALL balloons, when I fire a missile a balloon should not get through, when I'm blasting red balls of death, glass should not be unscathed. This is utterly nonsensical that a "power - up" would weaken me.
I Loved the first round of this game, the expansion was awesome and this one does NOT disappoint! Awesome game that I gave a 4.5/5 but there are no middle stars so round up for a 5/5! 4.5/5 because I feel like the Speed-Up button needs to be a toggle instead of a hold. Maybe even implement a X2/x4 speed especially for the later half of the battles when nearly nothing gets by This would let me kill things quickly AND go get a drink.food, which is a win-win.
Tip 1. lvl everything to 2. Switch ifficulties. Lvl everything to 5. Switch again. On extreme you cn get anywhere from 3-800 gold in just a few minutes. Reason being you WILL NOT LAST long enough to get good towers. I think most I had was 21 BUT it's fast gold. lvl everything to 10 or higher if you prefer. farm out 2-3k gold from survival. Go to normal and connect IN ORDER spots 3, 2, 4, 6, 5, 1. Now some layouts do NOT let you do this, just restart until you can get this good distance between the points. And that's pretty much it to get to lvl 100 Flying lvls are a bitch, save your spells for Flyers.
2) HERO TIPS!!! Different skills available for them. Having a single skill limits. Make it so each one has 2 or 3 with special effects so you can specialize a bit more.
3) TOWER TIPS!!! THis one is a sore point for me, as the towers were very limited and only upgraded damage. The graphics are fine, maybe a touch more variety in the mages, but have the tree's for the towers be much more vast. Cannons that can shoot flames and deal more damage to Treants. Mages with ice to slow down troops. Arrows with exploding tips to deal more damage to Golems/Flying fortress. Soldiers that can take on fight and stop 2 troops instead of just one. Just off the top of my head those would add a great variety to the game and still keep the core intact.
Spent about 2 hours on this game to get hard badge. Not bad. Graphics are nice, good humor (love when the swordsman falls flat on his face off of the Giants. Very nice). But overall this seems like most other TD games. There is 1 trick that works on every map. So for that -1 star. A Sequel would definitely be needed as I feel this could have FAR better options. Options I could see as helping.
1) GIANTS TIPS!!! More variety in Giants. Not so much the giants themselves, but in a sweuel introduce more but vary their resistances, strengths, and such. Make certain Giants stronger against other towers so I can't just build the same tower over an over and win every stage. LOL Make one giant as fast as a "hard troop" but lower health and such. Make one as fast as a runner troop yet weak against arrows(as I NEVER used this tower outside first 1-2 levels).
MASSIVE DEATH SPREAD!!! This build utilizes the spread and homing abilities of Josh, Glenn, and Ray. I would recommend Josh as leader due to the awesome clearing you get from his Special, but ray works as well. Key to this is after you have all the weapons max. so it takes a bit of skill to not die near the beginning. If you are afraid of dying, have ray as leader for healing drone. Assuming you have Josh, you will want Sword and Throwing mastery techs max. Lucky star and Dodge mastery are perks, not needed for the build to work. Ray you will want Loot Expert and Napalm Bomb max. This will let you max your weapons quite quickly. With Glenn you will want Tailwind and and Air Mastery techs maxed. this will max glen fire quickly and the "birds" to hit and chase quickly as well. **I'll have to edit later as I need to get some stuff done**
