If by 10th place you mean anything other than the all-time high scores then you can top 10 by midnight Kong time. You just won't keep it for too long :P
My laptop makes this easy. If I scroll fast enough, the touchpad driver will keep scrolling once I take my finger off the touchpad. (No that's not a bug with the driver. It's a documented feature that only works if I do it a certain way.)
I've been messing around with this a bit. It doesn't seem to do anything about effects. That's a bit of a mixed blessing. While it prevents the annoying portamentos in some of the songs, it ruins some songs because they need to use effects to stop notes or skip to another pattern.
